Hi Tony,
Deffo was asking due to curiousity. No malice intended.
Really hope to go Vegas next year with the Mrs. Once you get out there, you get a taste for it. Who knows? If things go well then may get out there in November myself. That Jared bloke has worked wonders with me.
Don't let him get you at it George.
Every year for the last three he has said that he was going to come out again in October/November.
Some people even believed him and booked their flights on the strength of it....

Shush you. Changed man, me. Life is so much better for me now, I've sorted my head out in some departments.
This year was also the first time ever I've played much out here, & it was the abso nuts.
Wander into a cardroom, noon start, affordable "fun" comps, deepstack, good structures, fun table company, pick up a Starbucks & a sticky bun in the Hotel on the way to the Tourney, sit there supping my latte, at peace with the world, working out the table, all the different characters.
I try & work out the nationalities of everyone, then "work it".
There was a stack with an empty seat next to me, & I had a prop bet with the Table, just to get some buzz going, that it would be taken by a skimpily dressed young lady. I said I'd buy everyone a drink if I was wrong.
The seat was eventually taken by this individual, (below) to much hilarity, & I got him revved up, too, by feeling his moobs. He was not yet in the loop, & his face was a picture....
He be quite a personality out here, & in fact is a really fun guy - "The Iceman".
PS - At this moment, I'm on my lappie, in a deserted Media Centre (lazy buggers, journos), with a giant plasma in front of me, upon which I'm watching the Open Golf. Can life be much better?

As Jeeves will confirm, I do Vegas slightly different to most. We could go to Hoover Dam, go tractor spotting, take photos of empty corridors.....

Haha "The Iceman", there are some hilarious threads about him in NVG on 2+2.
Did he have his blinged out scooter with him and did he flatbarrel you?

I never knew that. I see him most years, & he kinda scares me, never spoken to him, but I chatted with him twice this week, & he's a big softie, puutty in my hands. We are going to do a mock "in da hood, bro" interview, too.
He don't do no Dr Dre's, his headphones are well serious bling.

Clear signs of a lack of material here - includes photos of queues. Blame Jeeves.

Note to my stakers.......
Managed to Final Table in the Venetian $300 yesterday, but busto'd 8th for $1,539, so a bit of profit on the day.
Might play today's $100, too.
I'll ask Mr MereAccountant to tally up the state of play once the trip is over.
As far as I can recall off the top of my head, I've had $1,539 yesterday, $400 for a swap with JH @ Caesars, an Omaha Final Table @ Caesars (can't recall right now how much I got, $700 was it?), & the Wynn Final, where I got $2,000 or $2,200, I forget which. It's all recorded in the Diary, or the Vegas Blogs.
I'll tally everything up when I get home, & Mere will sort out what the return is for all stakers.
I doub't we've made a profit, but we've not lost much, either, & so everyone will get most of their stake back I think.
I'm pretty keen to return in November, to be honest, as I've so enjoyed myself, though it depends on various other stuff that's going off.....
I'll try & get up to date with the comments & questions on the Diary shortly, too, I was sort of contracted to do stuff for next door whilst in Vegas, & there was some sort of problem with the amount of hours in every day......
It's Sunday today, & I fly home tomorrow, landing in Gatters on Tuesday late morning.
Off home for a day, then down to London for Thursday's 865 Show, & on Friday I go down to Cardiff for the SPT, returning Sunday. Not sure "PostCard from Cardiff 2011" will enthuse quite as much as my fascinating Vegas photographs.

related to the golf story i have seen so many decent poker players down the years banned from casinos because they found a way to make a few bucks off a bandit or cheat a couple of table games for peanuts etc. good results from the pokers too.

Swaps do not count Tony, they have absolutely nothing to do with the stakers.
Would you be deducting stakes that you have paid out from the *cough* dividend?
Well done on the cash, let me know how much I owe you.
