Starting to pack in time for the house move in a couple of weeks time.

In the back of the wardrobe found a long sleeved black and yellow rugby style shirt.

With "The Camel" and "J9" in large letters on the back.

Anyone else got still got their Blondepoker sweatshirt?

I never wore mine, it was a bit on the long side. Great for keeping your ankles warm though.

‘alan1506’ won last night’s Primo (£3,410) and Mini Primo (£404), scooping the £6,800 Jackpot for over £10,600 on Sky Poker

who he?

Just a "regular" lad, lives in Wales - where the previous "Jackpot" winner lives, coincidentally. He plays £2, £3, £5, & now & then, £20 games, & if he satellites in, he plays the £30 & £50 Tourneys, too.

Last night, he was 1st of 253 in the £55 PRIMO, (£3,415 ish) & 1st of 295 in the £5.50 Mini PRIMO (£405) plus he scooped the Jackpot of £6,800.

Ship the £10,620.50!

It is the 2nd time it has gone now, inside 4 months, & gets reset back to £5,000 from today.

I'm thrilled to bits for him, I love it when there regulars win decent money. He won a big Heads Up promotion we ran a while back, too, only to get his Aces busted in the final hand.

And best of all, my job is sometimes a bit painfuil, biting my tongue when the moaners moan, or the 13 year old "experts" tell us how to run a cardroom. But it's pretty neat on a day like today, too, as I get to ring him & give him all the nitty gritty. We'll do the "Comedy Cheque" routine, TV Interview, Press Releases, etc. The win has to be confirmed  by "Fraud Dept" first, because collusion is always something to be wary of in these situations, & the Account needs validating for correctness, but he came through squeaky clean.

I shall be inviting him to Luton this weekend, too, & get Anna Fowler to interview him.

Proper star.

He gets Anna Fowler and I got Tony Kendall, FML!!

Wink

I almost rung you today, then something (far more) important cropped up.

You OK bud? Not coming to Luton, I assume? You'll be sorely missed.

Peculiar how that Jackpot has gone twice, both to guys down in Wales. I spoke to the guy today, rung him up, smashing fella, a bit overawed by it all. He's a "Care worker" in a childrens home.

Double the bonus then IMO.

In an ideal world, yeah, it'd be nice. We are looking after him though, such as we can, & on top of his £10.5k, he's got a freebie at SPT Luton, & some other stuff. Just to upset Dylan, really, because we gave him sweet fa, though he did get his photo taken with me.

Not sure if it's the attire or Cos's comment that u look like the driver's love interest in that F1 pic, but can't help thinking u bear a striking resemblence to John Inman. Could be the poofy scarf ofc

Made 10 seats in the satellite this evening, coupled with some direct buy-ins. We've got 11 seats left of 30.

Absolutely.

So, have you got a seat, Vin?

G-Luton still have - had - 11 of their 30 seats (25+5) remaining, they will soon go. Sky Poker have 139 players registered which does NOT include the 30 Luton have been allocated, so we are at 169 seats now.

In short, unless G-Luton can find some more dealers (on a GUKPT weekend), seats are unlikely to be available beyond today.

At-It Bradders got hold of me last night, he is trying to get a seat. Jen Mason is registered, Chili is still ditheing between Luton, & this weekend's 6 max @ DTD, Claire will be registering Online tonight, assuming seats still remain then.

Anyone who wants a seat had better sort it quickly.

Wrong photo Jeff. In the picture by the F1 car, I was not wearing a poofy scarf, that was a fashion accessory.

An opportune time to mention that today, in preparation for our channel re-launch, in our new super super studios, the 865 talent will be having our third & final meeting with our personal stylist. That includes Thewy & I.....

We have had 2 meets already, & the Senior Stylist, a plum-tongued lady with a triple barrel name, has decided what we will all be wearing, & we get to see it today. It's all this "well Tony, you have lovely blue eyes, so nice dark blue shirts will suit you" sorta stuff.  Quite so, quite so.

Thewy meets a fashion stylist. Real car-crash stuff.

Also present will be the likes of scotty77, & Stu Rutter.

FFS.

..A potent solar flare has unleashed the biggest radiation storm since 2005 and could disrupt some satellite communications in the polar regions, US space weather monitors said Monday.

The event started late Sunday with a moderate-sized solar flare that erupted right near the center of the Sun, said Doug Biesecker, a physicist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Space Weather Prediction Center.

"The flare itself was nothing spectacular, but it sent off a very fast coronal mass ejection traveling four million miles per hour (6.4 million kilometers per hour)," he told AFP.

A rush of radiation in the form of solar protons already has begun bombarding the Earth and is likely to continue through Wednesday.

The radiation storm is the largest of its kind since 2005 but still ranks only a three on the scale of one to five, enough to be considered "strong" but not "severe," he added.

NOAA said its website the S3 ranking means "it could, e.g., cause isolated reboots of computers onboard Earth-orbiting satellites and interfere with polar radio communications."

Biesecker said that when it comes to radiation storms, the polar regions are affected most.

For instance, the storm could spell disruptions to airline flights, oil operations, Arctic exploration and space satellites.

Night-sky viewers in Asia and Europe may be able to witness the aurora, or Northern Lights, late Tuesday as a result of the storm.

"We don't expect major impacts from an event like this," Biesecker said.

"It's the people who need GPS (global positioning system) accuracy of centimeters who have to worry, not people who want to know if you're going to turn the car 30 meters (100 feet) ahead."
