Fancy making your 3rd live outing of the year on Sunday, Chinese Allen is away but Ambro is back on the scene.

What are the chances?
In the early stages of the Omaha, a really unusual situation arose.
It was Blind v Blind, I was SB.
I was dealt the King-tastic......
I raised from the SB, the BB instantly re-ships on me.
In the context of the game, & the two players (I know that he knows, da de da) the easiest pass ever. It's not much of an Omaha hand, to put it mildly, can barely improve, but deffo worth a Raise from the SB with no other action in front of me. I had the player sussed, & knew that he CANNOT make the move he did with worse, (say, Q-Q-x-x or a run-down) so he HAD to have A-A-x-x. So I quickly passed, & said "
you'll not believe what I folded
".
He said "
good pass, you were in trouble
", & showed me.....
Can't say I recall ever seeing that before, I literally could not win. Think I was 3% to tie.
Rigged, obv.

BOOM!
We have had floods galore, dreadful storms, & long dark nights, & then suddenly, this morning, just like that, bright pink blossom has burst forth on trees. There was no sign of it earlier this week, it seems to have appeared, as if by a miracle, overnight.
I've no idea why that makes me so happy.

Nina Simone explains it rather eloquently.
"Feeling Good"
Birds flyin' high, you know how I feel
Sun in the sky, you know how I feel
Breeze driftin' on by, you know how I feel
It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me.
Yeah, it's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me, ooooooooh...
And I'm feelin' good.
Fish in the sea, you know how I feel
River runnin' free, you know how I feel
Blossom on the tree, you know how I feel
It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me,
And I'm feelin' good
Dragonfly out in the sun, you know what I mean, don't you know,
Butterflies all havin' fun, you know what I mean.
Sleep in peace when day is done: that's what I mean,
And this old world is a new world and a bold world for me...
Stars when you shine, you know how I feel
Scent of the pine, you know how I feel
Yeah, freedom is mine, and I know how I feel..
It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me
And I'm feelin'... good.

Strayed on here as I just had a read through the Telegraph's story on the Ladbrokes results, what's your thoughts tikay? Any link to the raw results? How's their online poker doing?
Find the diary full of basketball! The first pic is Manute Bol with Muggsy Bogues, who was 5 foot 3. Nate Robinson is the guy dunking over people, he's 5'9 or 10, a veritable giant!
I realise I'm not Tikay

Poker: £7.5m revenue down 31% year-on-year. In 2006 it was over £40m.
An absolute horror show of a year online. They are a few years behind everyone else, but amazingly they aren't dead. They still have a ridiculously strong brand in terms of recognition and trust. Every survey you see bears this out.
Did you see William Hill's poker results, Alan?
As with Ladbrokes, it seems to me that the only justification for keeping their Poker site open is as a feeder to the other sites on their platform, (Sports Betting & Slots).

Never knew you were into Steam Locomotives, Greg?
You go up a notch in my estimation.
It really is remarkalke how popular these "Preservation Railways" have become. I'm not entirely sure why that is.

It happened so quickly, it was fate.
On the "Bill & Ted Adventures" Diary on Friday, Ian Gas mentioned that "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest" was on TV.
I saw this at the cinema, when it first came out, but I remembered very little of it. I must have been courting at the time, as I rarely went to the local Odeon or Gaumont (do they still exist?) to watch films.
So, Friday night, I decided to watch it again on TV.
It was mildly interesting, no more than that really. Fiction, see?
But there was something particularly mesmerising, & so I recorded it on my Sky thing, & watched it twice more yesterday. It was still only mildly interesting, but that was when I became smitten.
Where has she been all my life?

I watched a Status Quo documentary on TV, too.
Francis Rossi is 64. Looks pretty cool for an old white guy, huh?
I'd give anything to look that cool when I reach his age.
Quo, & it's previous incarnations, have been making music since 1962 -
52 years
.
Where on earth did those 52 years go?
They've sold, I believe, over 118
million
LP's.
Incred.
