Clue - he's a good swimmer. Apparently.

Sofa is the most loveliest , funny and genuine fella.
It was wonderful to see him yesterday, & he's not changed one bit.
Put some weight on, mind.
His latest thing is selling electronic cigarettes.
Never heard a bloke with such hilarious & enjoyable poker table talk.
PS - Great news about Stacey, & The Little Big man having a sister now. Wonderful.

Arguably, the most surprising news story of 2014?
It's really hard to imagine what it must feel like to be in such a situation.
There is a fair bit of hurtful mocking on Twitter & the like, just as there is towards gays & lesbians, but it's pretty pathetic, as most of us simply cannot begin to imagine how conflicting it must all be.
I suppose there are worse things to endure, but it can't be a great feeling to put up with complete randoms poking fun.

Yup.
On the one hand "why don't they out themselves", & when they do, the ignorants abuse them.
Some of the comments on Twitter are pretty dreadful. I always thing "if only the boot were on the other foot, how would they deal with it?".

Interesting to see his views 10 years ago

One suspects he was overcompensating back then.
And yes I am aware that being transgender is NOT the same as being gay.

Playing the UKPC Omaha, which is a £500 re-entry, gulp. Most exciting though.
34 runners so far, my table includes Chinese Frankie, Sean Belton, and John Burberry.
On an adjacent table, Willie Tann got a full double up on the very first hand.
Have hit a few hands already, and so, unusually, my nerves have settled early.
55,000 from 50,000 starting.

Limp UTG with A-A-J-10 DS, all red.
Limper, then Sean Belton makes it 1,000, two callers.
I Gascoigne it.
Sean folds, 2 callers.....
Flop is all black, K-K-10, peeler pots it.
Back to starting.

Getting lively now.
Sean pots it after everyone limps, I call on the button with 9-8-7-6. It looked so pretty.
It is so nearly my flop, 3-4-8.
Someone takes off, there is a reraise, I retire gracefully.
2 players get all in for a 40k pot.
Winning hand was a pair of twos.
