Morning.
The wifi is a nightmare this morning, so the Stakers Update from yesterday will have to wait, sorry.
Had some fun spots, & interesting table company, more of which later, when I find a reliable wifi somewhere.
In brief, though, after 15 years of actually playing to Min Cash, I could 100% of min-cashed yesterday, just by folding & nitting up, but I just forced myself to gamble.
I finished about 29th, with 21 paid. It was (approx., can't quite remember) $1,150 to Min Cash ($600 entry), and we had to finish 6th to get $4,000, 2nd for $10,000, & win it for $25,000. So I went for it.
I'm feeling a bit sheepish this morning, as I threw away $1,150, but I know it was right to try & play properly. The exit was a huge draw, & my man got a bit lucky on the river, but he did nothing wrong, as he had a big draw too. It still stings a bit though. As it is supposed to, of course.
I had been playing small-ball all Tourney, nice & cosy-wosy, so that added to my curly lip.
That aside, I've looked forward to this so much, & in every other respct, I had a whale of time yesterday, like a dog with two whatsits.
Some details later, when I find some wifi.
Next game is Wednesday, got some none-poker stuff for a few days now, oioi.
PS - We are $600 in the hole, & 0/0.

What's this 0/0 business? Shouldn't it be 0/1?
Please don't apologise for gambling in a poker tournament.
I remain concerned about the lack of beetroot and the wee situation.

I thought it was "happy as a dog with two tails" or "horny as a three-peckered goat".
I'm not sure about dogs and their whatsits.
Nice deep run whatever the strategy.

Be there. Just be there, no excuses. Meet you in Starbucks @ 10.30?
Incidentally, for those unfamiliar with Las Vegas poker generally, or Golden Nugget & Binions in particular - when Conky Conk Conk says he might be seated to my immediate left, that CAN be, quite legitimately, arranged. Pay in, & the Nice Man then says "choose your seat & table", pointing to all the seat cards spread out on the counter. And you can select any eat & table you wish.

Thanks for the good wishes for today from Boo, Carl & David.
It's an 11am start today, so if I can find some Wifi down there, a few updates of my staggeringly exciting play may ensue.
