Epic scenes here as Gill is preparing our Thanksgiving Day dinner. (Yes yes, a day late, can't be helped).

I have been banned from the kitchen for the last 2 hours - it's a secret, see?

Then I've had the 15 minute warning, 10 minute warning, & 5 minute warning.

And now.....

It's READY.

Make sure you eat up all of your sprouts - they're a Thanksgiving tradition.

Gill's meal included a ton of veg shite - carrots, runner beans, roast yams, stuffing & & all that sort of stuff.

I have a far more cultured palate - roast potatoes, peas & meat, with gravy.

Hang about, whats your beef with stuffing?

I'll agree on the greens but I can't let stuffing slide.

I eat them, but can certainly leave them without being bothered.

Yorkshires with everything, and stuffing with Turkey & Pork.

What about chicken and stuffing sandwiches?

At least we can agree on Yorkshire puddings Smiley

Sorry, meant to include Chicken Cheesy

Love the Xmas sandwiches that you get at Waitrose, M&S etc.

Good to see this diary finally get a bit of traction, better late than never.

Shame so many potentially great xmas sandwiches are ruined by the addition of cranberry sauce. Only cranberries I like create classic songs like Linger.

I'm not even gonna try and bluff that I shop or have ever shopped at Waitrose Wink

Food is much more interesting than trains  scared

I'd sooner have a bit of cranberry > mayonnaise, but chicken or turkey and stuffing/sausages/bacon is the nut combo.

I wouldn't if mother didn't work there Cheesy

And finally for today, a quiz for you.

Can you name the Robbie Williams lyric & the Premier League football club fanzine of the same name?

Bizarrely, and I've no idea why, I know this.

A Love Supreme.

Before we move on to the Boxing Day version of Thanksgiving Day, I have been inundated by a request from Ralph to demonstrate that wonderful Robbie Williams track, & the Sunderland FC Fanzine of the same name.

Thanksgiving Day (+1).

Our favourite times have been in the USA, Vegas & Southern California, so Gill has become a bit USA nuts, & we follow the news from the USA, & she buys all sorts of tat Online from USA websites.

We stayed up late last night watching Fox News Extra & other assorted USA stuff, including the NFL games which take place every Thanksgiving.  (Including Dallas cowboys v Washington Redskins which, I gather traditionally happens every T-Day for some reason).

And I just knew when Gill arrived at about 9pm last night we were in for a special day. She arrived late last night, spent the day chilling today (she went outdoor swimming today, would you believe?), we are going away early tomorrow morning & won't be back home until mid-evening, & she goes back home Sunday.

So when I saw all the stuff she bought down, I knew we were in for a bit of a special day today.....
