That's just from 210m downloads on Spotify. Royalties far exceed that in all formats

Fascinating. God bless East 17.
I find it curious that "I wish it could be Christmas every day aaayyyyyyyy" (Wizzard) is not on the list, &, even more surprising is the omission of Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War is over)".

I've genuinely never heard of that track.
I thought you were referring to this at first. Probably not though.

Think even The Darkness get a few annual quid for the dreadful Don't Let The Bells End.
They only did it so they could work 'bell end' into a song/title.

There was a documentary about East 17 a few years back where the rest of the band were begging Tony Mortimer to do a comeback tour, because Mortimer was the one who got all the royalties for the songs. The two useless ones were painter decorators together now.

Brian Harvey, the fella who managed to run himself over with his own car? Bless.
How can you not love those boys, living the dream?
Their lyrics were.....well, lyrics.
I want to toss, I want to tumble
Feel and fumble, I want to do it
Till my belly rumbles

Astounding if that list is for the UK only.
How much do they receive from the rest of the world?

I watched about 4 mins of the ELO thing on yesterday - mostly just trying to get a close up of him to see if I could figure out how old he was as his voice was a lot better than most people of his age at these kinds of events. Never much of a fan but I liked one track - 'Livin Thing' back in the day so I could spare 4 mins in case.
Anyway I was Moved to wiki him and I think he was 70. Pretty good for his age and like you allude to, incredible number of collaborations with pretty stellar names - most pretty boring tbf but I acknowledge their mass middle of the road appeal :-) Slight comical and melancholy undernote looking out at the crowd and thinking I'd fit right in to that demographic
Get outa here with your "middle of the road" snobbery.
I agree as to the demographic at that concert though. My immediate thought was "has there ever been as much Dad-Dancing at once in the same place?"
Was incred to see all those Chompy types from the sticks dancing & singing along.
