Amongst today's spam e-Mails, one entitled thusly, which really got me thinking......
"Generik Viagra - a new life for your penis".
A whole new meaning to "get a life".

Heaved must have stopped drinking the Red Bull as he was nothing like the idiot of WSOP 2007 when I walked out of the Rio behind him last month. Lost a Sentiment of weight and pretty quietly spoken.
I'd bet he's embarrassed by the way he ac tied last year but it got him a lot of air time, which is probably what he wanted.
I would imagine he is laughing all the way to the pokerstars bank, to me it is clear in 07 ME that he was deliberately courting tv coverage to make himself a name. It worked as well.

Cause lots of money gets you good drugs, which aren't nearly as dangerous as the ones given to the poorer chemical abusers?

And this man (pictured 8 months ago) is, I'm led to believe, 68. He looks barely older than me.

Maybe.
Today's Times refers to them as "recreational pharmaceuticals".

The prostitute (described only as "Woman E") who secretly filmed Max Mosley in that
cause celebre
, broke her silence last night, (The Times, today, reports she sold the Interview to Sky for £10,000) to say there was no Nazi element in the 5 hour orgy.
She said "she did not think about the consequences of her actions", & is very sorry. Her hubbie, an MI5 Agent, (allegedly), had to resign his post.
She said she would like to apologise to Mr Mosley, or, to use her exact words.....
"I'd like to get on my knees to apologise to Max Mosley".
I'm not sure if she meant that, or it was tongue-in-cheek.

Obama in Germany 2 days ago, in front of what was estimated to be a crowd of over 200,000.
Are there really 200,000 Germans interested in attending a speech by an American Presidential Candidate? Or did the American Embassy impose some sort of 3-line Whip on American ex-pats?
It bothers me when a Prersidential Candidate speaks like a Statesman, or Royalty, too. He begun his speech like this....
"I come to Germany....."
Oh dear, the facade is cracking.

I had occasion - for non-blonde business reasons - to frequent another Poker Forum recently, & I spent a good bit of time there.
I had to "mount a defence" against some ridiculous statements, & unfounded allegations, this was the weekend I went to Vegas, & it turned into a monumental task. (I should add that I get paid to do exactly this, it was not a personal crusade).
I began by contacting, privately, the Forum Owner, & stating, "look, I'll come on & have the debate, but I ain't debating with name-throwing idiots, who use vile & vitriol, & can only say "yeah, you are all a heap of shite", it' needs to be at a slightly higher level than that.
So, he called my bluff, & started a thread, & said "look, tikay will debate it with you all, but you gotta keep it civil, & grown-up, right?". Oops.
So in I waded, & took what seemed the entire Forum on, single-handed. I just explained things, l told the truth, & debated honestly & openly. Faults were admitted, daft allegations were rejected. Politely.
The debate was interminable, & ran to 39 pages, & nearly 8,000 views, very large by the standards of that Forum. (And I got 41 PM's!).
It was one of the most satisfying things I'ver ever done. Not because I "won" - nobody could win - but because it was just so satisfying to discuss emotive stuff so sensibly & constructively. Nothing has changed, except the perception, & that's changed 100%. Nothing is half as satisfying as a job done well, & I was very pleased I took the time & trouble, & thrilled we could debate it so sensibly. In 39 pages, once I'd got their ear, & it was obvious we were all talking sense, there were barely 2 or 3 daft "you are all a heap of crap" type Posts, & the Members soon put those in their rightful place.
One Poster had a sig which I thought rather apt as to Forum's as a whole, & I loved it, I can still recall it word for word.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.
Read into that what you will.

Pictured at this week's Farnborough Air Show, an F-22 Raptor. Neat.

I don't think there was any 3 line whip involved here. Whether we like it or not the US president is the most powerful job in the world and whoever it is, impacts greatly on world politics. Obama (and just about any other democratic candidate) is more in-tune with a European way of thinking compared to Mc Cain. Also no doubt his race does play a part in his celebrity, an afro-american president is something unthinkable until recent years and the fact that this can possibly happen is a positive step forward.

I also think the germans (apart from Boldie) have a stronger 'world view' than we do on these islands.
I suppose with the country being split by the decisions of other countries post WW2 would have a way of making them more 'worldly aware'.
As far as Obama's speech goes, it is a clever move to appear Kennedyesque as he's playing the reformer & new broom line.

I think he's the right man, (from a poor list of Candidates) & I'm very pro-him.
I just find it hard to believe 200,000, or allowing for Media hype, even half that number, would throng the streets of Germany to catch sight of him, & listen to what we can assume was a typical poltical speech, with all the cliches & rhetoric we come to expect from Politicians. ("I come to Germany", "For Our Children's Chuildren", "For a better America").
Still, his next stop is the UK, so maybe 200,000 will stand & listen to him here. Provided it does not clash with Big Brother, or Celeb Come Dancing.
