With Phelps' amazing exploits in the pool. The American press are hyping the question of who is the greatest Olympian of all-time.(obv cos they think he is an American). Well in the shortlist that ESPN came up with Carl Lewis was proudly included on the list (Redgrave also made the list). I guess winning hides the cheating in some peoples eyes. Id bet if you did a survey in the States 95% would not know that Lewis had tested positive for drugs.
Lewis is a really interesting one isn't he? given the gold when Johnson was disqualified but he shouldn't even have been in the race as he tested positive for several drugs prior to the Seoul olympics but had his ban overturned to allow him to race |
