there's plenty of time for both
, you just need good time management skills.
Only needing a few hours sleep a night helps as well.
not if you're tikay, he's the busiest man in the world imo. BUT, if he followed my advice and swapped books for tv he'd have an extra 84 hours/week to do stuff or 112 hours if he doesn't get sucked in by hollyoakes

Do you guys spend your life in front of TV sets?
Ever thought of reading books, or learning about alternative broswers?
are you serious? they now pay people to read books, the good ones are made into films which they then show on tv and the cinema, the crap ones are put in a dark room
time spent reading a book~1 week
time spent watching film~2hours
time saved by the magic of tv=166 hours and you don't have the risk of wasting a week of your life on a naff book
tv rulez
The trick is not to save time, but to enjoy spending it.
The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

If it were not for the fact that Films & TV dumbs down books, I would.
Few things in life have given me as much lasting pleasure as books.
And when did you last see an interesting film or TV Prog about the Electricity Pylon variants in East Anglia alone?

But the documentories on wildlife are often better than the books.

They still don't have electricity in East Anglia, so this is obv not right.

Yes, I agree. Wildlife Docs, Science Progs, & top level Sport are about the only thing I would watch on TV if I had the time.

So, back to my proposed "Top Ten News Stories" of my time.
The Thread highlights that these break into two categories;
List 1: The "insta" specific incident stories. Aberfan, GTR, Munich Air Disaster.
List 2: Almost "era" stories - the Thatcher Years, the invention of home PC's & the internet, da de da.
The lines are bound to get crossed, but anyway, I'll try & frame it up now.

In Luton yesterday, an individual - Banned from blonde a while back - made himself known to me, & then spouted off the biggest load of drivel I've never heard the life of since I was in Primary School. He was really quite "cross" with me, shall we say, & I later discovered he'd Posted this nonsense all pover another Forum.
But at least I know how he got his online alias now.
Link please
