Just look blankly at the dealer, declare 'pot' and put ur whole stack over the line, constantly.
Sorted.
I prefer the shove your whole stack over the line and declare 'all in'. used to do it about once an orbit in the old plh games at the gutshot when I wanted to pot it, gets you a great moron image
One you've continued to develop and foster over time, and nice to see you take it away from the table and into your everyday life.

Haha I used to play a lot of cash at Gutshot and it was quite com how everyone just announced 'I bet the pot' for every single bet they made. Maybe people think PL means every bet has to be the size of the pot.

I've decided to take a little holiday, until this evening.
So today it's the Old Fogeys Duxford Outing.
Mother Hen is picking up Ralphy Boy in Nottingham at 9am, & they, & me, all meet up at Tom's place at 10am, thence on to Duxford Air Museum.
Should be some day, tartan rugs & thermos flasks are readied.
It won't exactly be the Shrewdies hitting Vegas, but we'll have a great day, & I'm pretyy revved up about it.

Sofa king gave me my rug, a big furry number it is. "There you go Boyo" He said, "That'll help keep you warm in your caravan".

Well Tom's eyes did light up when I said that I would pay £30 not to up in one of those Tiger-Moths but unfortunately he couldn't find two more to make up the £99 which was needed.

Duxford - 'photos to follow.
Karabiner managed to send Simon the wrong way to Tom's place, & they arrived 2 hours late. So we all had tea at Tom's & argued who was to blame.
We set off 3 hours late, & Mother Hen kidnapped us & forced us to endure a Little Chef Olympic Brekkie (much improved, I confess). We argued as to who should pay for Brekkie, & I grimmed them all. Simon's beautiful & monster Lexus averaged 29.1 mph so far.
We arrived at Duxford, my treat for the admission fees, & I offered up Ralphy Boy as being entitled to the over 60's discount. Cashier Girl never batted an eyelid. Lexus mph ave now 28.7.
We then had tea, which took an hour, I never paid, & we argued about Ralph's real age.
Next was a Flight Simulator - £4 each, but we got the 20% discount for Ralphy - again, the Girlie never questioned it.
We spent a while oohing & aahing at Lancaster Bombers, Shackleton's, Wessex 'Copters, Concorde - we went on it - & sundry flying things.
More tea next, no idea who paid.
The American Air Museum there is quite THE most spectacular piece of modern architecture you could ever wish to see, it's impossible to fault, & you cannot see where the ground finishes & the building starts. It's simply stunning - there are no doors, or large hanger-type openings. Did they build it with the 'planes already inside it? Tom came up with a ludicrous idea of how they did it, & we argued about that.
Inside, they had a B-52. Well, you have never - ever - seen anything so big. It is MONSTROUS. Designed in 1950, they built some 774 of them - & a goodly number are scheduled to remain in service until 2030! So, added to my Bucket List, I need to go see one of these take off somewhere, perhaps an USAF Base in East Anglia.
Next, a display of Land-Warfare vehicls, marvellous, & very evocative. Tom reckoned that the Jerries could fire Shells from France which could land in South London, so we argued over that, & I struck a bet for a shilling that it was not so. He googled it on the way home, & read out what he claimed was proof. Pfft, rubbish. So we argued about that.
Time for Tea now, scones with cream & jam, Sponge Cake, a Blueberry Muffin, 4 mugs of Shite Tea, £20 the lot, & I paid, so they each gave me a Tenner as their share. Nice.
Set off for home, (28.7 mph average), I fell asleep for 30 seconds & Simon managed to miss the M1 - the sign was like 2 acres square. Only a short diversion to get back on track - 47 miles.
Then we started discussing APAT stuff, that became an argument, so I feigned sleep. 29.2 mph average now.
We beat Mother Hen up shocking over DTD PancakeGate. He just groaned.
Arrived back at
chez
Red about 6.45pm, (MPH average 29.2) but I had to scarper sharpish, as I was due to play Online at 7pm. Luckily, I'd Registered this morning, & I Logged on 40 minutes late, but ended up winning it from a massive field of over 38.
Those Shrwedie Boyz don't know how to have fun, I tell ya.
I don't usually do "days off", or hoilidays, but I had a ball.
Thanks Tom, Ralph & Simon.

RAF Fairford in sunny Gloucestershire is probably the best place to go (I am guessing that that's still used TBH). Lovely village that...you can combine it with some proper history. St Mary's is a stunning church for instance. (obviously googled picture below)

Fairford is a RAF base - the B-52's are USAF operated - surely they won't have them at an RAF Base?
PS - Nice church. Never use stain-remover on the windows thuogh.

They had them there during the Gulfwar and all that which is why I remembered. Don't know if they station them there.
edit; a quick Wiki (always a good source of bad information) tells me that USAF actually control Fairford

Good grief. Does The Queen know? She owns the RAF, you know. And all you see. Never forget that.
