As of 1 September, all poker players will be provided with an Uzi upon entering the G Casino in Luton
The initial announcement from Grosvenor is that Uzis will be provided, but when players get there they'll discover they actually have to bring their own.

Oh, & in the most freakiish of cock-ups, accidents & misunderstandings, my real age got revealed Online yesterday, (elsewhere) by me. And numerous folks actually contacted me to say "wow, I never realised you were THAT old".
My cup absolutely runneth over.
Its you won fault because you won that hand with 7-6 and then told the table you always play that "'cos its my age!"

Is that Mr Dickie - "Tricky Dickie" from, you know, "another place"?

The APAT Omaha is going along nicely, it ended up with 83 Runners, incl alternates.
Ralph exited early in an absolute horror of a hand, ugh.
Ralph had....
A-K-J-J, no suits.
Flop J-3-5.
Nice.
Checked to Ralph, who Pots it.
He gets Check-Raised! - for the pot by the UTG Man, Ralph shoves.
UTG snaps with A-A-x-x, no suits.
Turn, x, River A.
Clown, Evil, Claire, Maria, all trundling along nicely.

Off to DTD shortly, for the APAT World Amateur Championships.
Diary clashes have kept me away from APAT for a goodly while, & my last APAT - at Walsall,a good time back - was "less than satisfactory", with alcohol-related nonsense, & related consequences which continue to affect me to this day, & forward.
Yes, ever since you stopped coming there's been no trouble. If Mother Hen doesn't let you into DTD it'll be because Des has told him to be on the look out for trouble makers.

I'm really looking forward to hooking up with the APAT-ers again, though, because of my enforced (work-related) absence, I'm a little nervous as to how they now see me. The stayaway Chairman always needs to tread carefully when he re-emerges.
I'm sure you'll be fine - wear a name badge so people know who you are.
Anyone who is the brother of that great poker player UZI-LOVER gets my respect.
UZI-LOVER ... thats a machine gun aint it ? ... sigh, poker and violence again
Nah.
UZI-LOVER is AndrewT's brother, who's killing the Tourneys over at Sky these days. Proper player, wins things. His Mum is very proud of him.

DTD Cash-Game news.
FishBosh calls a Min Raise with 5-5 - to be fair, there were a whole Table of Callers.
He was against J-A, J-K, & J-Q.
Flop K-J-5.
He expects to play another hand later this month. He's now sitting there like a dog with 2 tails.

Correction. George2Loose is now OUT.
I think I'm obliged to mention that there is an Update, being done by Tighty, elsewhere.

I popped into Luton-G this evening at about Midnight, to buy a couple of guys into Saturday's Mini-GUKPT at Coventry.
I never even put my head inside the Cardroom, but word seem to spread that I was there, & a string of players all came out to tell me that they'd had a right party tonight.
A bad-beat, followed by ongoing verbals, allowed to simmer, then proper afters, via a head-butt, blood everywhere, the 2 guys scrapping, pulled apart & ejected. I guess they'll both get a life Ban, which is about 3 months for monkey-business at Luton.
There must have been 3 or 4 scraps at Luton in the last year
. I really don't understand. It's not a Pro's venue, just recreational players, & they end up scrapping. Over a game.
The bigger man used to be the one who did not retaliate, who had the ability to turn the other cheek. That's out of fashion now, it seems.
My affection for Live Poker, with it's increasingly attendant aggro, grows ever less.
Where was I when these scraps happened? I can only think of one (Kirky) and the people involved in that got life bans. Have they been revoked?
