Is 'back-filling' and out of date word like 'back-raising'?

Both expressions are to be used whenever possible.

Ive never fitted a fuel tank or any sort of hollow container in my life but im pretty sure your meant yo half fill them first.
As far as stupid things in the world go. A friends family run a small company installing fueling systems for bus garages etc.
They used to keep fairly busy testing for leaks on tanker lorries, A nice little earner and sometimes paid in those fresh pound notes.
Anyway, when they used to test them they did it with air pressure ensuring that it didnt drop below a certain pressure in a certain time.
A couple of years back now they had a changeover where the legislation was changed on how these tests have to be carried out.
Basically you have to fill said vehicle with water and test it that way.
GG the enviroment.
Clearly the costs became much greater along with the equipment required and suffice to say they no longer test them
All seems a little unneeded to me.

Interesting stuff. Yes, we subsequently had a routine of filling the tanks with water first. Followed by the excruciating task of pumping it all out again. And it's not as easy as you might think to find a water source in the middle of a greenfield site capable of delivering 10,000 gallons quickly.
As we generally installed 4 underground tanks, we set up a system whereby we pumped the water out of Tank 1 into Tank 2, (rinse repeat 4 times), which helped, but the supply of water for the first Tank was always a problem. A STW hydrant key came in sort of handy.......
The air rpessure testing system you describe for lorry tankers seems perfect - why did they "outlaw" it?

I really dont know, I just know that the changes they made caused a lot of people to stop testing them.

7.45pm Saturday.
Never been so hyped, the adrenelin is pumping. Two Live Shows tonight, the second being very special indeed, and brand new, & a huge "thing" for the site. Someone is gonna win big.
I'm almost nervous, but good nervous. We used to cut trenches in the floors of Sainsbury Supermarkets on a Saturday night, (to install new Checkouts for example), knowing that once we started, we HAD to finish the job.
As with that, the point of no return has passed. Tonight, I shall get through, or fall over.
OK, first Show starts at 8pm, the 2nd at 10pm - back-to-back, so quick wardrobe change.
Faint heart & all that......

It will be repeated once or twice, as below....
Sunday, 10am
Sunday, 2pm
Sunday, 6pm
Tuesday, 2pm
Wednesday, 0030am
Wednesday, 6pm
Saturday, 10am.
& new editions will air every Saturday at 10pm for 13 weeks. Plus I expect there will be coverage of the winner once he or she goes to Vegas next June/July for the WSOP ME, & at the other Events in the UK they will get put into as part of their prize.

Yes, it will be available Online from Tuesday, I'll PM you a Link to the Micro-Site addy.
Alternatively, all Channel 865 output, including repeats, is streamed on the Internet 24/7. Just go to the regular Website & "Watch Poker TV Live"- I'm sure you can work out the addy.
