Rossy has resigned hasn't he? Who takes over as the highest paid BBC star? Davey and Matty possibly, Chrissy or maybe even Paxy?
No idea Mr Byron. I don't actually know to whom you refer when you mention Davey, Matty & Chrissy, (I expect I am being whooshed or levelled here) though Paxy is, of course, known to all, and a proper legend.
I think all or most of them earn a lot less than the dumbschmuck Red-Tops would have us believe, but their collateral earnings - just because they are "on telly" - of all of them are indescribably massive. If I can get frequent offers to make "guest appearances" at 4 or 5 hundred quid day - &, remarkably, miraculously even, I do - think what those guys must be able to earn!
Conversely, the figures attributed to Rossy as his earnings - often quoted as £18 million - were complete nonsense. That included his own company producing the Show, &, presumably all the associated costs. Which was why he was so miffed when he got taken off air for x months after BrandTwatGate, as the costs of running his Company continued (though most staff were freelance) but there was no Show to produce. It's actually unclear, however, if he continued to be paid during his enforced absence, as his Contract was oft-quoted as a lump-sum deal, but I doubt that.
I've yet to see it, but I gather you made a spectacular clever & funny retort to a "TK off the telly" Post. Only you, Sir, & I salute you for your wit. 7-2 indeed......
Getting back to big-earners on TV, the biggest earner I'm aware of at Sky would probbly be Mr Stelling - he DOES earn a lot. A serious lot. Hells Bells does not do too badly, either.
Although its a different channel and a different sort of telly programme, can you ask your colleagues at sky how much they think a 'Harry Hill Walk On' would get? If you watch TV Burp they tend to bring in a few guests from shows they are lampooning to come on and do something silly, Mark from Eastenders is on quite a bit and more recently that daft 100% straight guy from Pineapple Dance Studios. It would solve a long standing debate I have had, my old man reckons they would get something like £500 but I reckon it would be in the thousands as its prime time ITV.
Not sure on this one specific but I do know that people often earn less than you think. Soap actors on contract but without any scenes get £200 a week from the soap - industry miniumum wage - but this mostly means they can't work anywhere else while their contact is in place unless they are promoting the show. So being in a soap doesn't mean megabucks, you need scenes to make the money. Walk ons are not that much - I have a soap client coming in next week - I'll ask.
Thats pretty low. I've always based my 'bet they get a fortune' attitude due to the fact that about 12 years ago, the guy that played Blakey from On the Busses would charge £5,000 for a public appearance. I guess TV is much more saturated these days now they have dedicated channels to showcase old fellas talking about poker, so would be interesting to hear what your client says.

Had Nirvana, Keith Miller and Spanfish on the opening table, so hardly counts as a win imo. Could hardly fail. Field of 59 though, so not a bad effort.

A little birdy tells me Gramps has been appearing on new episodes of The Club. Is this true?! If so, what day and time are they on?

Ok - the pay depends on what the interview is about and the programme.
So if you are promoting a film/book and you are on the sofa in the morning and you are only only for a few mins then you will get nothing or min appearance fee of approx £80. You are mostly driven to and from the studio by the programme maker and may get gifts sent to you.
If you are on something like Jonathan Ross - prime time tv - you will be on for longer than the normal 5 min promotional slot and talk about lots of other things. Fee for A listers is around £10k, depending on the star they may also have their flight paid - particularly if they are doing an exclusive interview rather than making the rounds. Gifts are the norm for the a listers, often worth hundreds of pounds.
For smaller programmes like Harry Hill with just a walk on you might get £1k but that is unusual, have to be a good star to get that.
Or just do an advert like William Shatner and make millions!

10k for sitting chatting to Wossy? I've been wondering what to do next. A-list celebrity seems like a good career choice.

The man himself has lost about 4 stone
On Saturday he ate
1 apple
1 small plate of ham and tomatoes
37 Lattes with Sweetener
er, that's it.
Was on very good form though!

saw Tikay at Luton last night - looking in fine form. Reckons he still wants to lose another stone, although I don't think he needs too. Someone bought him a bowl of ice cream which he couldn't eat - I selflessly helped him out with that dilemma

That night he had a stomach ache.
The next morning he ate through a nice green leaf and felt much better.
... and he wasn't a tiny caterpillar any more, he has a big fat caterpillar. He made a house called a cocoon, and stayed inside for 6 weeks.
When he came out again, he was a beautiful butterfly.
