I've said it to Tighty a few times - if I was to ever get banned from blonde I'd never hold it against the mods and heck I've probably come closer than I know. I think anyone that does shouldn't really be allowed back.

People make mistakes/comments in the heat of the moment. Banning people for life would be a mistake. Banning them for 1 month would be better. 3 bans and then life ban them would be better.

There's a few guys that have been doing it and doing it the exact same way for years, and they occasionally get people mocking them, usually by way of some sort of hackeneyed mimicry.

I doubt they're bothered.

Fair question, and TBH it's force of habit. I use email an awful lot at work and cba to do a full sig so just sign off as Geo, it's followed onto the forums I frequent.

And Mr Calenti actually gave me a telling off once when I didn't sign off.

Well that's that for today, not the greatest day to be fair, this & that, but I managed to win a little Omaha Tourney for the 2nd night in a row, & had a bunch of fun at the Tables tonight, so it ended better than it began.

Before I go to bed, I have to "plumb in" a new Lappie, with all sorts of security guff, that'll be a nightmare, & I know I'll mess it up.

Had the car valeted today, a Polish guy does a terrific job, inside & out, for £15, & I bung him a fiver on top, he's terrific value. But some idiot threw a cup of coffee over the side of it, & incredibly, it has stained, & it won't come off, so that's a bit annoying.

The car is going a treat, had it 2 months now, & I'm very pleased with it indeed. I've knocked up 5,000 miles so far, not been driving as much as usual, as I stay in London most of the time, but I get just under 50mpg, & it's a pleasure to drive. Almost.

Long day tomorrow, with a bunch of office stuff & writing to do in the morning, then in the Studio from just after Midday, scheduled to finish the recordings at 7, though it will probably finish later than that.

Then PTP from 7pm until Midnight, starting with the "tikay Sleepstack" at 7, then a nice DoubleStack at eight, followed, after exiting both, by Omaha cash.

I guess my Grandad would have called me a busy fool, but I'd not have it any other way, the only caveat is the pressure to do certain things from (well-meaning) peeps who don't understand how it is. It's unrelenting, & I really struggle to handle it. But I try & keep schtum, no point falling out with folks.

Thewy called today, he's in fine fettle, I'm so pleased it worked out for him at 'Stars, he belongs there. He's serving Coventry this week, & just playing the ME in Vegas, & in fact, I think we fly out on the same flight. he'll stay at The Venetian, & I'll be at The Rio.

Gotta go see Maria before Friday, bit of a trek up to Grantham, but she has a new sexy 'phone for me, so I can tweet on the hoof, so to speak. Groan. She's had it 2 weeks now, & is nagging me big time to go collect it, marv. She reckons it will take her 4 hours to teach me to use it. She underestimates me.

I'm scared, to tell the truth, of losing the data in my existing one. I have 890 "Contacts", & over 2,000 stored Messages - I delete the rubbish - but I'd freak out if I lost those, especially the Contacts, built up over 20 + years.

Will have to chat with Tighty & Flushy tomorrow, but I know what my answer to Aqua will be.

This Aqua nightmare never ends, but the gloves are off now, & it will soon. Surely.

Sigh, don't listen to him Stu.  I have reasured Tikay about 20 times that he will not lose a thing.  Contacts nor texts!!  I have it all set up, bought him a data cable too for his old Nokia so EVERYTHING WILL BE SAVED to his lappy first.

But.....you know how old people are about hoarding and trusting birds with simple technology
