Feeling a tad down after a tough day, tough few weeks really, I read Celtic's Diary tonight. Nobody  - or very few, thank God - knows the pain of a parent who loses a child, & I'm a bit peeved for a few weeks uphill. I could slap myself.

I went to Holly's Funeral, & wanted to write a story about it. I wrote it, but could not bring myself to Post. A few weeks later, Vinni asked me to Post it, but I could not bear to.

The Funeral was, well, as you'd expect, dreadful. But lovely, too, & blonde was, I'm proud to say, well represented. Vinni was incredibly strong, I don't know how he held himself together. The truth was in the eyes.

The Funeral was held in what I assume (pardon my ignorance on these things) was a little Catholic Church, or Chapel, just off the A10.

It tipped down with rain, just as it should on such a sad day.

The Church/Chapel was very small, almost intimate, & there was not a seat to spare, & some 50 mourners had to stand.

Holly's schoolmates attended in droves. They were, I suppose, 10, 11, 12, that sort of age. All dressed identically, every one of them. Not school uniform as such, but modified school uniform. I clearly remember they all wore long coloured socks, above their knees. I later learned they they were wearing the same sort of clothes that Holly used to wear.

Everyone seemed composed, all things considered. Until the music started, that is. Holly had chosen her own music. Words can't describe.

I have my ups & downs with Vinni, but he's such a brave guy. He's lost his Daughter, now his Mum is ill.

He was back at Luton within weeks, & it was "awkward", nobody wanted to broach the subject.

He just came right out with it. "It's done, don't be embarrassed, I'm OK". But it was not, it was in his eyes. Still is, truth to tell.

RIP Holly. Dad has never forgotten.

We do have ups and downs. I am always up and you are always down!!

Long day ahead Thursday, plenty on the office, then the Live Show in the evening, which simulcasts on Sky Sports, so need to be sharp as I'm able.

I'm sorting out a heap of TSP stuff for the new inductees, enjoyable but time-consuming.

Some new stuff has come along too, very exciting, connected with a new TV Channel, "Sky Atlantic".

Met with the Press Association last week, & some work has come off the back of that, too. Should be a good one, that.

Then I need to try to reply to The Crow situation, which is  incredibly awkward, the "cliffs" are long & complicated. It's just so time-consuming, & all for nothing. Aargh.

How moving was the way Celtic suddenly told the Holly story tonight? He should print that off & have it bound, or something, it was wonderfully written & immaculately presented.

This place can't half spring up some surprises & stories, & what an eclectic group of people.

Yesterday, once again, Steve Jobs at Apple went on sick leave. Unlike last time, this time is was "indefinite". Everyone would wish him well, but especilly Apple shareholders, where the stock has quadrupled in 2 years.

Today, they announced stunning numbers for the 3 months to December 31st - profits of $6bn from a turnover of $27bn.

The shares fell a little today, 2.2% after being 7% off at one stage, a not unusual City reaction to good numbers. The results were already in the price, so the saying goes.

What would happen though, to Apple, & the stock price, if Steve never came back?

It'll all go pear shaped.

*cough*

still waiting to hear why you're allowed to multi account on sky

I don't believe it is Multi-Accounting in the accepted sense, not at all. I would not do it if it was, as you know. It is not in any way covert. It's certainly unusual, but so are the circumstances.

I've used the "tikay" prefix in a number of versions in Online Poker since I began playing Online in the late 90's. It's the same on every Site I have ever Registered to. I have never used any other alias.

When PTP (Play The Presenter) began, all the rostered "Talent" were given a Bankroll by the Company, & it was widely promoted. PTP still runs to this day, 5 nights per week, & is a very successful Community aid, promotional tool, & revenue driver. Profits or losses do not accrue to the PTP-er, the Company stands the losses & takes the profits. They deposited £500 in my Account in May 2008, & it's never needed topping up. And the profit is negligible.

I get, on average, around 1 PTP shift per week.

I wanted to play regularly on the Site - I see it as part of the job really, walking the walk - & I already had a Personal Account there  "tikay1". It is my own money, I stand the profits & losses. When I play privately, I invariably mention on the Forum that I am playing as "tikay1, my own personal account" or "TIKAY10, my Company Account".

Because of the positon(s) I hold there, I'm known to most, if not all, the players.

When the Company Accounts were opened, all Players on the Database were informed via newsletter & e-Mail of the PTP Account aliases & names, including mine. The same info has been sent out several times since.

A Forum, or Community, was introduced in, I think, May or June 2009. Then, & almost weekly since, I generally preface my PTP night threads with what Account I am playing on. From time to time, this generates "why 2 Accounts?" questions, & I explain.

All players have the perfect right to object to it, to the best of my knowledge nobody ever has, the usual trolls excepted. Why would they?

Nothing about it is covert or duplicitous in any way shape or form, so neither the Company, myself, or, it seems, the players, deem it in any way improper. If there were well-founded objections from any of those three parties it would have to cease.

"Multi-accounting" as we know it is a means to deceive, or make mischief. There is no deception or mischief in this case.

Congrats on the result at the weekend.

Now if you'd said that last Sunday I would've bit but a few days on I'm happy with 4 points from 6 against them every season.I used to be really bad when we'd have a bad result even in a lesser important game.I'd literally go in a huff for the rest of the day when we got beat, and supporting Newcastle that means I'm in a huff a lot.My Dad used to always moan at me for taking it too serious but I couldn't help it.The last couple of years though I've really lost that love for them that I used to have for a few different reasons all related to the club so I hadn't really got too down about a football game for quite a while but I was proper gutted for about an hour after the game.

I had this sort of outer body experience when they scored as obviously I was shouting at the tv which is normal,as you do.But then I picked my coat up off my chair,no idea why and just chucked it on the floor and sat back down proper pissed off and thought to myself"WTF was that about ?".

I was almost overcome with mental & physical fatigue yesterday, & had no idea how I'd manage doing the Show, but the adrenelin did the trick, & it was high-octane stuff.

After the Show, I deflated rapidly, & could barely drive back to the Hotel.

At the Hotel, I ever turned the lappie on, never even read. I always have a half-hour or 1 hour read - first the newspapers, then the book of the moment before sleep - just climbed into bed & snap fell asleep.

Best sleep I've had for ages followed, never woke up once in the night, & feel fantastic this morning.

Today's weigh-in, 13-6, is a bit of a disappointment, but the weekend is ahead, & dieting always goes better at weekends for me.

Today, I shall mainly demolish a mountain of work.

Target today.

5 "heavy" e-mails need to go out.

1 Press Release.

1 telecon to "clear my lines" on a potentially contentious issue before I go public on it.

Try & make inroads into the PM backlog. Target is to clear 20 from here, & 20 from next door. To set that in context, I hads 17 incoming yesterday. Can't decide whether to start at the top, or the bottom, of the pile.

Sort a bit of a "hot potato" with Head Office. One of those real tricky ones.

Rev up the Twitter account.

Spend some time on the Sky Poker Forum. Gotta judge a Forum Fun Comp, but I was struggling to find a worthy winner when I looked yesterday, so I extended it by a day.

Not get grumpy or tetchy. Failed badly in that area this week.

Finish work mid-afternoon, so I can have a nap.

Alan Johnson's resignation was an odd one.

The "Protection Officer" assigned to him by the Police ended up having an affair with Mr Johnson's missus. Bit rich that!

"Yes Boss, I looked after the wife a treat".
