Remember that thing where Paul Jackson used to turn up at a player's house and sit on the sofa advising what to do each hand? What was that on? Ripe for a revival on Sky that one imo, worked well.
Now you mention it, yes - but I'm not sure it was Sky, was it?
It was great TV, for a very specific poker market, the smaller players, the newbies, the "fun" players. Which is about 99% of the market.
Wow, you've given me an idea. That'll fill my 3 hour trek north, & by the time I get home, I'll have a proposal worded up in my mind ready to send up to the suits desk. Copyright CH1OMPY.
An even tenner it goes to air, CH1OMPS? We might make you the first subject, too. Just basics, see?
That's really made me think, good man. I think I may love you.
Was it "The Godfather",something like that?
Very good prog for me at the time as a newbie.

I really must catch up with Tantrum soon.
First time I met her was when we'd arranged to room share at Blonde Bash 4 in Luton. Prior to that, we'd only exchanged a few messages on blonde and didn't really know anything about eachother. I got to the hotel first, and from the second I opened the door to our room when she turned up we hit it off like a house on fire and I don't think we stopped laughing over the course of the next few days. After the bash we'd hook up for drinks every week or two in London and put the world to rights. We kind of lost touch a year or two ago when we were both going through a bit of life stuff, and exchange 'must meet up soon' messages now and again but it's never happened. I'm gonna make it happen.
If Tantrum was a bloke she'd deffo be Mr Claw number 3 by now imo.
Great story, more of the same, please. And MAKE IT HAPPEN (you & she), life rushes past, & these things don't, then you regret forever. Do it.
Did you know she danced all night with Jesus? Quite taken he was, I believe.
OK, I MUST head north.

Have a good weekend Tony, just about to set off for Edinburgh where we are taking The Mole's eldest out to celebrate him reaching 18 (that's the boy's birthday not Steph's IQ).

Poker Godfather?
Possibly - I'm trying to bring it to mind.
I blame CH1OMPY, I hate him.
Definitely "The Poker Godfather".
I think that Paul was one of a few people who featured but he was the most featured.
It was shown on The Poker Channel at 8:30pm on Tuesdays (and probably elsewhere at different times).

Wish him the very best from me please, James.
Remind me, when next on, to tell a Mole story, which, knowing him as you now do, you will not believe. Looking back on it, it's extraordinary.
Will you be taking afternoon tea at The Balmoral? No better place in the UK for afternoon tea. Next to the UK's 2nd largest ralway station, too, what's not to like?
Hope all is well in BSKYB land for you, too.
Remember......
Believe in better.......

Can I have a job at Sky Haitch Queue? Now I'm on the dole.
Let the records show this was all
my
idea. So when 'A Tournament With Tikay' pops up on the Sky schedule, there can be no arguments.

I often enjoy mimicking the closing scene, where Paul winds down the car window to give a short summary of the lessons learned
Would pay good money if someone could find a clip of that online...

Go to the doctors, they will spray something on it and it'll drop off in no time. I had same thing few years ago.

If that fails you could always get a bell.
