Big sighs as yet again Tikay mentions being in the twilight of his years on a thread today.
However by curious coincidence I saw this on Youtube yesterday - which I guess could be played as we wheel you in Tony
It is what it is, might as well face up to it. Everything is still SIG for now, though.

I already replied to that, though I remain curious as to exactly what point you were making.
Since you made - I assume - that very large deposit you promised me via PM, to grind on Sky Poker, how have you found it so far?

So what happened on September 19th?
Give up Ralph - you'll have to remind me.
My Diary says "AGCC Hearing, London" (eventually held in camera) & "865 Channel Review".
Gissa clue....
Well you didn't post on here for about ten days subsequent to that date so I thought you might have been abducted by aliens or something.

Have you booked your November Vegas trip yet?
Yup.
Depart on Monday 7th - a week later than planned, due to UKOPS, which will be my sort of "rush hour". Think I come home on the 20th, or 22nd, something like that.
Flying via Virgin, & staying at The Mirage. Was gonna stay at Venetian, but the thought struck me that I might be there 2 weeks & never see daylight, so decided to stay across the other side of the Strip, so at least I will see daylight & breath real air occasionally.
First time I've ever had to book all that stuff myself, it did my head in. Bloody expensive, too, when I'm used to travelling & staying there for free. Woe is me.
Plan to play back to back Noon Deepies @ Venetian. Can't wait. I'd like to play a bit at Caesars, too, but afaik, they have nothing on, but maybe Binions, Downtown, will have a Fessie on. Hope so.
You had that bink yet?

TK, you're the kind of man who'd appreciate the achievements here:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/finance-obituaries/8766380/Keith-Tantlinger.html
Pretty much fundamentally changed the world, and I bet not 1 in 100000 people had ever heard of him.
Nope, I had not heard of him, but I have now!
I HAD heard of the trucker, Malcolm Mclean, who effectively started the ball rolling in the 50's, by chance Tom & I had been discussing that very guy the previous week, as there had been a TV programme about how Shipping Containers have literally changed the world. And my oh my, they have.
Now there are ships that can carry as many as 19,000 TEU's - "Twenty Foot Equivelants". Awesome.
For the geeks only.....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Container_ship
Seriously.. why don't container ships just fall over?

There was an old man called tikay
'Gramps' was his common sobriquet
Fell dead did his diary
Prompted an enquiry
Looks like Sky Poker has stole him away
My job seems to be like painting the Forth Bridge. Immensely satisfying, though, & it keeps me out of mischief. I think I'd die if I had nothing to do.
They finished that recently.

Sure have - fly out on November 7th! I booked late last week, I think.
You had that bink yet? Be good to see you there.
You buying me and pizz dinner Boss
Doubt it! I'm not really into social dining.
I'm in negotiation with LilDave for a Vegas dinner venue. He wants some Tau nonsense, I have proposed KFC., which did not seem to overly impress him. Negotiations continue....
He's been very helpful next door, too, with some Omaha articles, more advanced than I can manage, I can only do the basics really. Fair play to him, he's a grand lad, really grand, & I like him immensely.

Exactly, hence I'm back on the Diary.....
I spent a day up by the Forth Bridge earlier this year. Awesome.

I've had several binks lately but most of them have been of the negative variety unfortunately.
I don't think Binion's usually have a fessie on at this time of year but they do have a decent tourney on a Sunday which starts at 2pm IIRC. The cash is always good across the road at The Nugget too, $1/2 unlimited pullup.
I'm starting to get jealous. I've been for the last three Novembers.

I find it quite interesting how in the tiny insular world of poker, & poker forums, "sure have" has come to mean the exact opposite.
Me, I'm a rebel, sod all that nonsense, the fightback starts here.
How is Mrs H, aka the Princess?

You honourable Lord tikay,
Not that I play online an awful lot, but I've played a few sats on Sky Poker recently and the fact there is no timebank tilts the life out of me!
Please could you use your senior authority Lord T and lean on the developers to add a little timebank? I
fold a lot
act quite quick generally but when I do need to think, it tends to be for a good reason. I'm sure there'll be more suggesting the same...?
Thanking you,
Paul.
Don't say a word to anyone, Paul, or the snide remarks will kick off, but it's in the batch of developments scheduled for early 2012.

Actually, having thought about this a little I reckon that it might well now be a working-holiday rather than just a holiday.
The clue being that Tikay wasn't sure what date he has booked suggesting to this suspicious mind that his "people" have booked it for him and we all know who they are...
Case dismissed, Mr S.
I was vague - still am - because I actually cannot remember! It's deffo Nov 7th I go, I can't recall my return date. Think its around the time of the Venetian $2,500 Main Event.
Booked everything myself, too, though it did my head in, I HATED doing it, I'm so useless at that stuff. Still need to book the Valet Parking @ Gatters, but that apart, I'm about sorted. Got a few thou $$$'s left over from last time, & some sterling ticked away from a few nice little cash game binks recently, so apart from changing some ££'s into $$'s, I'm about set.
I do hope you can make it. It's my maiden Vegas November foray, & I'm hopeful the climate will be more amenable than June/July, which I find overly oppressive.
