tl;dr
Cliques are a good thing imo - there are cliques at school, in the work place, at weddings, at the gym and even in individual households. They are just bonds that people make through interaction and common interests/circumstances. No need to shy away from the topic or fear when it gets brought up.
The more often you just say why its so much more positive than negative on the forum (the less people will mention it and ask - which I guess is what you want). The more you say - 'let's move on' the more people will say 'see - there's that clique problem on blonde again when that's the wrong P. Its a positive, not a problem.
He talks a lot of rubbish normally, but that last bit makes sense imo.

Don't know why you're so keen to press on antonino kendallucci -
the forum is in a very positive place atm
(I'm obv talking in terms of posting and posters rather than commercial which I have no clue about) - a few people have mentioned cliques like they are a bad thing. On the contrary...
The reason I would say pleno gave me as the example of the person who fits in with everybody is purely down to three main things. I spend more time on the forum than most and get to know people better this way - as they do me through my high post count and diary. Perhaps more importantly is that I have spend significant portions of time living in the two areas where blondes are most active: nottingham and down south (where I got to know the lutonians etc).

Well I'm keen to press on because yes, it's in a positive "mood" right now, & I think we all need to work hard, & do our little bit, to keep it that way.
Good explanation of "cliques", by the way.

Well thats great news Lee.
Have a good day.
Joinery, yes?
I took a City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery. Epic fail, must be said, I was utterly hopeless, & failed miserably. 30 years later, & for 10 years thereafter, I was a Director of a Joinery Company, & a quality joinery company at that, which employed over 200 joiners, all of them genuine craftsmen, & the work they turned out was amazing. By dint of "MBWA", I used to tour the factory every single day, & it was just the greatest thing to see real craftsmen doing their thing. Not so much, mind, back in the day, when a guy had an accident with an electric staple-gun. I still cringe at the mere thought.
Another of my guys, operating a High Pressure Water Jetter - you know the things? - somehow allowed the hose & jet, fully working, to find it's way up his trouser leg, whilst operating at 2,000 psi. Don't even think about those injuries. It was THE most "one of those things" accidents ever, & yet the H & S peeps successfully sued my Company, & I got in all sorts of trouble. Three years later, we got the RoSPA Gold Award, & we got it every year for the next 4 years. Good can come out of most things, eh?

It's just the best, & I did it throughout my entire business career, & it did more for my businesses than a thousand meetings or memos.
For those not aware, MBWA = "Management By Walking About". Just wander round the office, site, or factory every day, methodically, & chat to everyone, maybe have a coffee, & the informality of it means you learn all sorts of things that would not otherwise surface.
See.....

Note in particular this great truism.....
If you wait for people to come to you, you’ll only get small problems. You must go and find them.
The big problems are where people don’t realise they have one in the first place

The one thing I don't miss about real life, is the stress caused by accidents in the workplace.
The H&S culture can be a bit of a pain in the backside, (and very expensive), but any reduction in serious injuries is clearly worth the effort.
The amount of people I worked with when I was younger, who had less than the optimal number of fingers was staggering.
The main problem with the move to a safer working environment, is that when there is an accident, it is a bigger issue, with the fallout often quite stressful - don't think I've ever met a H&S officer, or a rep for the HSE who is capable of a smirk, never mind a smile.

a guy I learned a lot from in my most recent job always said that the worst kind of unhappiness in your job is caused by those 1000 tiny little problems that you never talk about and then BAM! all of a sudden you wake up fundamentally unhappy in your role and have no idea why.

Which is exactly what happened to me, & pretty much led to me taking early retirement. Stiill, it worked out OK!
The realisation just hit me one Saturday afternoon, whilst I was out with Wendy, & (yes yes, it's embarrassing) but I just burst ino tears. From that, I self-examined, chatted with Thewy, & decided to up sticks, & go enjoy what remained of my life. Wendy was so supportive, & I planned all sorts of stuff for us to do together, places to go, travel all over the world, da de da. 3 months later she binned me, marv. Plans of mice & men.......

Hi Tony,
Have a look here
http://photojournalismlinks.com/
he gives a weekly round up of what is happening in the world of photography & photojournalism.
I've been involved in my own small way in this field for the past 20 years or so. Some of the best work has been produced in the past year.
We lost one of the best this year, Tim Hetherington.

A life cut short, but boy did he pack it all in. A friend & hero to so many.
