Don't understand Pleno's analogy. Poshboy's posters aren't a clique. They're mates. And as for this "90% blondes don't know...." Just a tease!

Got to agree with G2L here.

communities are all, in general, made up of a number of sub-communities (cliques?)

I also think I must be one of the 90% who don't know what happened about a bloke at the end of last year. Can one of the 10%ers pm me please?

I don't know, either, Del, but I don't want to really, my hands are full enough already! If it's not on the Forum, though, I'd venture to suggest there is as reason for that, maybre it's a private, delicate, or embarrassing matter, I don't know. We have no automatic right to know, though, or even ask.

Sorry, the request was tongue in cheek, in response to Pleno's "tease". I must remember to use emoticons more Smiley

Google used 'Zeitgeist', their tool to help them understand what the world is searching for, to create a really nice retrospective on 2011.

Better than pictures imo. Mandatory watching.

OK, enough of this, let's press on.

What are your plans for Xmas? Holiday? Working? Punting? Escaping? I'm going for the last-named, & I go next Wednesday. Really looking forward to escapng for a week.

Trying to escape, by working. I hate xmas, but have young family, so hide it very well. Fortunately I am working xmas day night onwards. Also, a good excuse to leave the in-laws early!

There are several pictures of Scarabs with those indicators on the roof, which would suggest that they were a factory addition rather than a retro-fit

They were present on the one in this pic (Which I suspect is a later model) but they were fitted lower down.

Note the Wonderful J type Bedford in the background.

Indicators were actually called trafficators when I were a lad.

Do you remember semaphore arms Ralph?

Sometimes they would stick and you had to bash the inside of the door jamb with your fist to make them pop out.

That's them. Trafficators.

Indicators were called blinkers or winkers when they were the latest thing.

Yeah! Blinkers. they had a big white knob on the dash board. It had a flashing green light to remind you to turn it off.

Superb, thanks Neil.

Those are exactly the sort of "Year Gallery" I was hoping would be Posted. Thank you, & anyone who has more, please Post.

Some of those images tell such a story.

For some reason, one of the less important was that of the looters in London, but it's also one which so irks. Honestly, I'd have them shot. Proper shot.
