The little ferry which runs from the Isle of Skye, to nearby Rassay, another lovely Island.

These Ferries, despite operating in sometimes hostile weather & tide conditions, are remarkably reliable.

Great pics TK.

We spent 8 years based at Fort George outside Inverness from '91 to '99, during this time I played a lot of golf and we were fortunate to have about 10/11 first class golf courses within 40 mins drive. One of these being at Muir of Ord, a beautiful course and I believe a favourite of Mr Aliss.

On my bucket list is to spend 2 weeks up there playing all the courses we did back then

Do you give up yet? Thought so.

OK, tomorrow, back to gambling stories, & the very peculiar story of how I came to be interested in betting.

Are you and Tom playing the DTD £150 today Tony?

No Ralph, sorry.

I just spoke to Tom, who has taken Mrs Red out for Dinner, exactly as he did previously, in 2008, then he plans to play a Tourney on Laddies @ 3pm, €190 jobbie with a 15 minute clock, I believe. As he let me down with the Staking yesterday, I fully expect him to win the Laddies affair.

Mrs Red can eat two taters more than a pig. Cost me a bloody fortune she did. (Well she would have if it hadn't been £3.75 all you can eat).

The Laddies tourney, Goddammit, isn't running for some reason. I think it's because they have a €200k guaranteed at 7pm.

Hatching plan B....

Plan B - satellite into the €190.....  Check.

Lolz, nobody right yet. It's a stray apostrophe that makes it a completely different word. It's easy now...

Its and it's

To good Laxie, to good.

Sigh at not knowing difference between "too" and "to", tsk tsk.

Lovely golf photos Tony, Ian Botham was some sporting character. I think that drive on the tenth at the Belfry had a brilliant story to it too. He had made some wagers that he could do it and said it was one of his proudest moments that only he and Seve had done it, when you think what he achieved as a sportsman too.

I think your description of Seve is spot on, I will never forget that moment he and Faldo hugged each other when we won the Ryder Cup in 95, two very similar guys that it would probably be fair to call rivals rather than friends couldn't let go of each other with tears falling down their faces.

I remember the golf channel the day after Seve died and they were interviewing Faldo live about Seve's legacy to the European tour and the Ryder Cup and the conversation turned to their rivalry. The interviewer said to Faldo that Seve had said somewhere late in his life that the moment hugging Faldo was one of his most special memories as he considered it one of the only times in his life that he understood they were friends. it was only because they were so driven to beat each other in their jobs that they had become rivals.

Faldo suddenly stopped talking and started to cry, big shoulder shaking, trying to keep under control live on TV. All he could say was ' I wish I had known that before now as It's one of my most special moments, we looked in each others eyes and both knew something special had happened between us. What makes me sad is we never said that to each other'

I was crying my eyes out just watching it mate.
