I was still a young man when this was taken.

Who'll be first to name them all? And how many are still alive?

4/7 Tighty.

Is this Manchester United from 1968? Think they were the first British team to win that big cup in the picture. Am i right?

pretty certain the first British team  to win the cup in that picture have far more in common with your username....unless my dad's been lying to me all these years Wink

indeed, they did win it first, one year earlier in 1967.

Indeed, and at the same time admitted you don't read my diary. It's got kebabs & everything in it.

Read his Diary, it chronicles his attempt to visit every town in the UK & find the local Nandos.

There is another FB site where a guy from around the area I grew up is encouranging to send him pictures of days gone by from the area. I sent him a couple of school pics recently received from one of my aunties that I didn't even know had existed (the photo not the aunty.) I have already been contacted by 5 of those from the pic that I had never been in contact with since finishing primary in 1973.

Nobody else thought top row, third from the right ?

Aye, that was my pick too - sorry Geo.

Really Rod?

My moneys on bottom left sitting down gurning.

Aye, was a height thing partly I think - and the grin (pretty everpresent when I've seen Geo).

From the clue about within grabbing/skelping distance from the Head, I'll now say middle row, far left beside the Head.

That's me Rod, I was a real wee huffy sod back then (some say that hasn't changed.)

I kept my issue suitcase (no longer on issue to soldiers) when I left the Army. It is brim full of photos. I admit I was one of those who collected many pics over the years and didn't bother to arrange them in albums.

I keep telling myself I need to sort them out and upload them into my photobucket album at least. May take a week or so off soon and put that right.

Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (via a subsid) last week increased it's holding in Tesco from 3% to 5%. He paid over the top for both the 3%, & for the further 2%, misjudging the market both times, but that won't bother him a jot, as he invests for the long term, & he gets a nice div, too.

He only has significant positions in one UK company - & that is Tesco. Say no more.

Was looking through his long-term positions last night, in such as Coca Cola, Wrigleys, IBM, Wells Fargo, BoA, P & G, Kraft, Walmart etc - they total north of $70 billion. Extraordinary.

Tesco shares continued their recovery yesterday, rising 2% to £3.27. Well done those who got on last week at £3.15, but don't be selling.

lol - fishing for compliments is such fun

Celtic's team from 67 were of course all born in the shed at the entrance to the ground (or somewhere nearby)

Should  be mentioned more, (no doubt would be mentioned more if Celtic had longer runs in the competition these days)

I can't previously recall ever saying a good word about the Daily mail before, but I found some nice sports photos on their Website, so thanks & acknowledgements to them for a few, as below.

Some amazing memories rekindled by these.

1965, the 2nd of his bouts v Sonny Liston. Oh what memories. Heavyweight Boxing was about to enter a golden ara, now long passed.
