Blimey Tone, (I always wonder if it winds you up when I call you Tone) your diary has moved on apace during my big sleep. I intended to comment on your bird pic. It's a great effort. Both in frame and in focus.
Birds are really really hard to photograph. So don't get discouraged. Be pleased with your efforts.
The real secret is, get closer.
My bird pics are improving mainly because I am sneaking the feeders nearer to the window.
That's the hard bit for me.
It's hard for a bird not to notice a near 14 stone lump, cursing as he struggles with lens covers & camera settings, trying to sneak closer.
I CAN get nice & close to the ducks & geese on the river though, as I have got some special food for them, & they approach right up close.
I walked across to the river side @ 5.30am this morning, camera in hand, like a new toy, it was lovely, but another photo fail.
Enjoy your
junket
in Brussels.
Problems sneaking up on wildlife? You need one of these.

Nope this what happens the birds are force fed maize for 3 months or so then slaughtered for their liver to make foie gras
Ii read that there are still a couple of farms that take advantage on a goose's tendency to over-eat at certain times of the year and produce foie gras 'naturally' - ie without force feeding. Costs a fortune apparently & is used as straight fois gras - not made into a pate.
Found it -

Almost "organic" Foie Gras then? That seems sort of OK to me.
Never seen that word before either - "gavage".

Please don't do that! Nothing worse than a grammar or spelling nazi. Or worse the Word grammar checker beating all the fun out of writing and language. Clarity and content >>>>> pin point grammatical accuracy the vast majority of the time. I was just joking at the half-finished job he had done

Any thoughts on the changes to the registration fees at DTD Tony?

I'm sort of ambivelant towards it really, Ralph. In truth, it makes no real odds to me overall.
Pros & cons?
It will reduce the Prize Pools, as the entry cost is lower.
Harder for DTD to meet their Guarantees, but I guess they can adjust the Guarantees easy enough, but less scope for those big headine figures.
I trust DTD absolutely, so not a problem there, but I like to see full transparency as to buy-ins & Prizepools, so when a £500 Tourney is really a £440 (or whatever), other rooms might start messing about. I much prefer the UK System to the Vegas system, but this is a move towards the latter. Not a prob @ DTD, but might be if others copy it.
For most of us, spending less - as we will - means losing less.
I very much like the idea of challenging convention, trying to make things different, better. Even if it fails, I like initiative. DTD try to make things happen, the rest just let thungs happen.
On balance, I'm positive towards it, but for me, it does not make that much difference really.
I enjoy playing Tourneys there more than anywhere, bar, possibly, Vegas.
The cash games are good too - the main benefit being I can always get a game. If I go to Luton, I have to be there by x o'clock, or I don't get a seat.
You been watching Tiger tonight? Slowly returning to form, though it's hard to imagine he'll ever be the force he was. More, & better competition for him now, too. Which is good.

Green? I don't eat ANYTHING green, Phil. Not sure it's good for us, to be honest.
