Monday is Diet weigh-in day.

13-2lbs today, for a 12lb loss in exactly 2 weeks.

Very pleased indeed with progress, it's not been an effort at all, & I'm really enjoying the challenge. Have been eating plenty, but just good stuff.

I feel much better, my Rennie intake (a barometer of my gastro health & eating habits) remains @ nil, though the Nurafen intake is still too high.

The target was get down to 13 stone by April 28th. Now revised to 12-7lbs by April 28th.

The weight loss will slow dramatically now that some of the blubber has gone, but a forward average 2lbs loss per week remains very realistic, so the target is very achievable if I keep my head in the right place.

All good so far.

I need to get my head in the right place, i.e. out of the fridge.

PS - (SPAM ALERT) - I know you play a bit next door - hope you bag one of those £10,000 Vegas packages in our first Viva Las Vegas Final tonight! One £10k package is guaranteed (13 runners @ present), if we get 20, that'll be two £10k packages. Either way, not bad odds for a £10k package.

The Semi-Final @ 5.30pm currently has 14 runners (1 in 5 go through), so that might fill up & help make 2 seats in the 9pm Final.

I have been playing the sats up to now, but a couple of days ago I decided to do this instead

http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=56335.msg1535457#msg1535457

With the family and me working on and off, I can really only do one trip this year.  I suppose if I do a massive bink on or before the first trip this will change,  but I think that must be pretty unlikley.

I don't know if you are out there when I first go out, but will have to meet up to say hello if you are.

Morning M'aam.

Wow, that looks a lovely schedule to play!

Hopefully, I’ll see you there.

I cannot finalise my Vegas plans until I know whether Sky Poker will require me to be there. They have not yet informed me either way, but I would expect to hear very soon.

Whatever happens, it is probable that I will be in Vegas for about a month come WSOP time. If not needed for work reasons, I’ll go on my own account for, roughly, the whole of June. If I get the Sky Poker Vegas job, then I’ll need to be there from a few days prior to the Main Event, for approx 10 days, in which case, I will fly out Mid-June for two weeks “play” before starting work when the Sky Poker qualifiers arrive.

Either way, look forward to seeing you there, & I hope you run good in that lovely schedule. I don’t play WSOP Events, have not done so for 7 or 8 years, but some of those 4 card affairs look very tempting.

Jen isn't lucky to have got a gig at Sky.  Sky is lucky to have nabbed Jen.  She's an absolute gem imo.

She's a star. Great viewing.

Thanks David. (& Laxie)

Yes, we are blessed to have her, & we know it.

I cannot think of a single person who has her breadth & scope of experence in the poker industry or game, & she's bright, witty, extremely intelligent, & most of all, smiles a lot.

A ready smile is so, so, important, more than most consciously realise. Almost everyone likes happy smiley people.

Having seen Red’s bird photos – crystal clear, pin-sharp, & close up, I can barely bring myself to load any of the bird photos I took @ the Wetlands Centre on Saturday. Respect where it’s due, he’s good, & I’m crap.

We all have our strengths though, & after spending 3 hours @ Heathrow, I’ve at last mastered airplane photography, & in one case, almost got the whole ‘plane in shot.

Lovely duck pics. Question about Ducks - webbed feet - do they get thinner/worn as the ducks get older - or as it's skin does it just keep regenerating? Could a duck loose it's webbing?

Ah see, that's the difference between a duck. One of it's legs are both the same.
