Part 2, much more familiar face, again @ Palazzo.

As you can see, he is on a Vegas health kick.

Thomas Cook announced te closure of their Bradford Office on Thursday, as they continue to attempt to survive.

On which thin pretence, I have an excuse to Post this, seen at Gatwick today.

Note, I got the whole thing, wings, the whole lot.

Irene is from Bradford you know. Not sure if there is any link.

It goes without saying that I wish you the best of luck out there, but more so, I hope you get to 'chillax' for the 1st couple of weeks before you start your cuticle watch video library.

(I am only reading this diary because the best diary writer, TommyD, is still off line)

An Englishman Abroad, Part 1.

Anyone recognise this chap? You should, if you frequent The Vic, or G-Luton. Looks rather dapper, eh? Spotted tonight in Palazzo. It is NOT Chompy.

Good morning (0630 here).

I was not aware that Norman was a cabbie, but it fits perfectly, he has that sort of gravelly-voiced patter. "'ere, I'm gonna tell you a story".

Think he has 5 or 6 flags over a 10 year span, just a regular guy, who enjoys his poker. He's quite old, so we can assume he is shite, & probably grumpy. They alll are, you know.

I never knew that "The Firm" had ceased. Hope Mark never done too much money.

Morning Alan. No arguments about TommyD's Diary (next door), I can't compete with that, he writes jolly well.

No, there was no "Irene" link, though I'm aware she is a Bradford lass. Or, as they say up there, Bratford.

Really, the Thomas Cook "link" was that Red-Dog & I were chewing the cud on the Thomas Cook share price a while back, & I told him to keep well clear, because the company is doomed to extinction, the market changed, & it did not.

Anf yup, I'm chilling, thank you.

When are you gonna play the main event ffs? Don't make me start a thread.

Behave Greeky, behave.

One day, maybe, one day.

It's just a lot of money. I could play on my own dime, but don't feel I can justify so much on a game of poker. With that mindset, it seems a little wrong to seek staking.

Anyway, I have no less than TEN players to "host" for this year's Main Event, (Mr Giblin & Thewy included) they mostly arrive July 4th, & I need to be Mother Hen, so I have enough on my plate. I really enjoy my poker vicariously these days, through seeing my "newbies" & youngsters next door progress, through the bigger Sky Poker lads, & via Staking. It's cheaper that way, believe me......

It was very kind of you to put it out there though. You can be very charming some days.......

It really irks me being characterised as someone who wants to decide who can or can't post staking threads. I just want people to put some effort into their threads and include enough information for potential buyers to make a value judgement. If you wanted to post a staking thread I would just ask that you're clear on the price and include your hendonmob profile, and suggest you also include some other information like the fact that you're a televised poker expert. GL out there, I'm flying tomorrow, will no doubt see you around at some point.

Whoops.

Good morning James!

I was being very much tongue-in-cheek, & I'm sure you know that really. For the record, I never have, & never will, seek staking, though I have from time to time sold a little of my action to friends, for "fun", but only when asked to.

And yes, I think it's very good that the quality of Staking Thread OP is now so much better, for which you must take most of the credit, even though you sometimes appear to come across a little shouty-wouty at times.

I've been following your Staking Auction with interest. Guess you'd consider it went, or is going, rather well!

Look forward to seeing you in Vegas during the next few weeks. I'm organising a trip to the local railway Museum, you are most welcome to join me, should be a hoot.

Thinner than Tikay!!!!!!

Fwiw, Bradford Council are kicking off good and proper citing a willingness to help alleviate the cost of renewing the building lease (cost per desk v the Peterborough & Falkirk operations are the reason for closure) but whichever way you look at it 468 jobs is a mighty chunk of unemployment to bestow upon our already struggling metropolitan district Sad

Anyways Pops,

Have fun in Vegas baybeeeeee & lemmi know how much to shiiiip.. I'm happy to deliver dosh to His Royal Tightness at Blackpool if you like.. or I can settle some other way, Stars, Bnk tfx, tho at this rate it's more likely to be DTD final ffs lololol

If Greekstein started a thread to stake you into the ME I would take 1% in a heartbeat. And 99 other people would do likewise without any hesitation. Thus there is no need to include any stats that would help people make a value judgement. Who's rule is it that people must make decisions on what to buy based on value? Personally I would enjoy your reports enough to justify and of course there is a small chance you could bink. Admittedly very very small.

People buy stuff in this life for all sorts of reasons. Often just for pleasure. One of the best selling products in the country are lottery tickets, which as it happens is also one of the poorest value investments. Tom sold out of a horse shit sandwich in double quick time don't forget.

If you want to play the ME don't let anybody convince you it must be some sort of value coup. In fact it's prob closer to buying that lottery ticket anyway. If you wont buy-in direct and wont get staked ur never gonna play it. You wont make much headway thru your bucket list with this attitude you know.

Would you accept %'s at face value Mr Kendall? i.e 1.0?

Would you be out there and able to play it this year?

I'm definitely putting the thread it. It's not negotiable and it will sell out. Just have to let me know how much you want of yourself and if it's this year or next that you're playing.
