Would you accept %'s at face value Mr Kendall? i.e 1.0?

Would you be out there and able to play it this year?

I'm definitely putting the thread it. It's not negotiable and it will sell out. Just have to let me know how much you want of yourself and if it's this year or next that you're playing.

Lol, I told you Greeky, behave!

Not this year, no, but thank you.

I'm finishing today's 2 Blogs right now (two, ffs!), so leave it with me please.

I appreciate your kind sentiments though.

Just thought I would jump on board with the Tikay should play the main event bandwagon!

I would happily go for 1%. I understand your role is important hosting myself and the other skypoker players but I am sure that on the day you play day 1 someone else (say Ryan) could step up to do it or other players could say each take one player to help out.

Come on Tikay...give the people what they want!

Stakers Report.

We played the $200 @ Venetian last night.

The short report is "we finished about 50th of 198, & did our money".

A slightly longer version follows, copied, in part, from my Blog.

Whatever way we dress it up, the account so far reads.....

Spent $200, recovered, nil.

I kind of ruined – or created – my Table image early, when I was messing on the Button with 7-6 suited, & got there. “Comment” was made, so I had to steady down for a while.

After that, all standard stuff, won’t bore you with the details, but just 3 “interesting” spots.

My Table was playing very loose, hard to get pre-flop raises through.

We were around 6 levels in, & I was playing 30 or so bigs @ 200-400, & I pick up 9-9 UTG. Hmm, this is awkward.

Decided to limp, & see if someone would oblige by raising round the back, then we can re-assess.

Bingo, matey boy makes it 2,800, excellent.

Before I can decide where we go from here, kid with 8,000 snap jams all-in!

Perfect, I do the same, & now the original raiser looks like he’s in a world of pain.

He asked if I had a pair (what sort of dumb question is that?!), what my NI number was, d-o-b, blood type, then eventually, after a monumental dwell, he folds J-J face up.

And he went LOOPY when he saw my 9-9!

“You looked so strong” says our man.

Umm, well yes mate, that’s the general idea……Nice when a plan comes together, eh?

Shorty Shover man had 8-8, so that was rather nice.

A few levels later, I raise it up with 8-8, playing 24 bigs now, & kiddo jams behind me for about 19 bigs.

Yikes.

I’m pretty sure he has A-K.

It’s a clear call if he has, but I bottle it, & fold, & of course he shows me A-K. Yup, think I mangled that.

Finally, my exit, which years ago, would play different, but these days, when the game is played to a much higher standard, was a no-brainer I think.

I made it 5,600 (playing 22,000) with A-K, & a nice lady, who had a history of shoving with a variety of Aces, moved all-in.

Never folding, let’s do it, & she showed up with the Kings.

She makes the same move with a variety of large aces, & 10-10 up I think. Oh, & Kings.  And that was that.

I ran pretty neutral as to luck, so no complaints, & tomorrow, it’ll be me with those two Kings. Maybe....

Today's Staking plans......

Caesars have a $100 "Ante Only" thing, don't much fancy that.

Binions have a $200 6 Max NLH, but it's too late for that really, & I'm not overly fussed.

Rio have their Daily $235 Deepie, 2pm, which get, I hear, huge fields.

Venetian have a $1,600 NLH @ Noon, bit too rich at this stage of the trip.

They also have a nice $400 affair @ 4pm, which looks a possibility.

So I think it is between the Rio $235, & the Venetian $400. For time reasons, the latter looks more likely.

Any dissenters, speak now, or forever hold your tongues......

The blog is good Tone.

If you had a newspaper column which was guaranteed to run for a year, which paper would you choose and why?

Today's Staking plans......

Caesars have a $100 "Ante Only" thing, but nobody likes change

Binions have a $200 6 Max NLH, and I'm not 25 anymore

Rio have their Daily $235 Deepie, 2pm, which get, I hear, huge fields, so I'd probably need a nap when the antes kick in

Venetian have a $1,600 NLH @ Noon, bit too rich at this stage of the trip.

So I think it is between the Rio $235, & the Venetian $400. Although the mid game nap did sound tempting

Thanks Tom.

Ooh, great question.

Let me have dither on that.....

The easy answer is ANY newspaper, & the why is because I'd love to be good enough to be paid to write.

A better answer will follow after I've completed my ongoing dith.

Lol, thanks Guy. The twist in the tail is that the Venetian $400 is a "Seniors" Event......
