Great read and I take it you were quite fond of the brunette lady and her 'moves' Cheesy

I can't wait to get to the Nugget on Friday, several of my friends arrived yesterday and are staying at the Nugget. One of them finished 14th in that O8 tourney you played, Simon a northern chap who is a really nice fella, it might even be him in teh England shirt, but I can't quite make it out.

The first tourney I play at the Nugget will be the HORSE on the 25th I think, but I've no idea really how to play the games at all. I was taught stud as my introduction to poker when I was about 9 so hopefully can remember that one and will just have to watch some videos or something for the rest Cheesy

Are the Downtown casino poker rooms busy?

How many runners for these fields at the Nugget and Binions etc?

cash action?

Does Downtonw have a future in a Vegas developing all the time?

They're considerably smaller than the likes of Venetian/Caesars, but they're also softer too I think. Average prizes up top are a lot less and I think the mix games draw in more runners than the holdem.

Last year the cash action at the 1/2 levels was pretty good and very wild I was told by some friends who played. You won't ever see action of the levels at the Bellagio or Wynn, but it's plentiful at the lower stakes they said and I'm hoping it's the same this year!!

I follow things on Vegas Message Board, over there Downtown has a very loyal following so I don't think it's ever in danger of losing them unless it goes that way. They love not being what they feel is ripped off for everything and having everything at close quarters. Unsurprisingly the Nugget is one of the less popular hotels down there due to it being essentially a strip hotel in the middle of Fremont.

Kev, the fella in the pink shirt in the blog post, is it Rob Cook by any chance? On closer inspection I dont think it is but certainly sounded like him from the description!!!

Thanks!

If I did genuinely miss you off the list, sorry - please assume you are in from the start if you did.

Wow - what are the odds of playing a a tournament with someone with the same name as you?

That must have been confusing.

Well done Tony, don't mention it to Chompy, his a bit downhearted about poker & golf.

Downtown is a much more enjoyable place to me on quite a few levels.

Vegas Staking Update

I MAY have missed Doobsy, in which case (unless he is levelling me.....) I will add him to the list from the start, but for now....

Irene Nutcase Trip5 1%

Aaron/Machka, 5%

Alan Nice Man, 1%, maximum £65 spend agreed. PAID.

Plump Bloke, 2%.

Methuselah, 2%.

MerelyBurnMoney - 5%

Spend so far?

Venetian Sunday night - $200

Venetin Seniors, Monday - $600

Omaha Hi-Lo, Binions, Tuesday, $230

Omaha, Golden Nugget, Wednesday, $230

Spent so far = $1,260

Cashed so far - $4,160.

So each % staked = $29, I think. Monsta.

Today, it's either the $230 HORSE @ Golden Nugget, or the $500 HORSE @ Binions. As I have never played HORSE in my life, we'll probably go for the smaller one.

Doubt we'll nd the trip in profit, but at least we have not done the lot!
