Just read your Hendon mob.. You abs crushed for years. Why do you stop playing as often?  Of you were 18 graduating from university and didn't know poker what would you do in 2012?

Similarily of you were a good poker player bd had good enthusiasm of the game what would you do?

Last one, any regrets re poker in last 10 years or so?

Note to my Staking Syndicate.

Briefly for now, full report later, but we got a bit lucky again last night, 12th for $531 in the 157 runner $230 Omaha @ Caesars, so that's another $230 "saved", & we can add $301 to the profit column.

Hardly gonna make us rich, but nonetheless rather pleasing, variance is being very kind to us.

Karl Mahrenholz was still in when I went busto, hope he won it.

I was a bit pissed off that the Brit Rail never made an appearance though.

Today's Tourney? Sadly, it seems we are stuck with LIMIT Omaha 8, but I cannot find a better alternative today.

Tomorrow, we have a lovely $340 PL Omaha 8, @ Wynn, so that should be good.

Gotta dash, taxi waiting, I'm going Downtown................

Anyone regularly travelling by taxi from downtown to the strip or vice-versa should always ask them to go down Las Vegas Boulevard as opposed to the expressway as one costs $15/$20 and the other is $25/$35 and most cabbies will just head straight for the expressway unless you ask them not to.

It's also far more interesting a journey, with lots of old Las Vegas sights to see.

A few lower-rent areas with abundant pawn-shops, wedding-chapels and regular folk just living their lives at the bottom of the food chain in sin-city. That and a few abandoned building sites from when the boom went bust a few years back. You also get to see where the original strip was with the now fading but once glamerous hotels of yesteryear.

Damn it I wish I was there now.

hmmmm they can actually get a bit stroppy - claiming the traffic will hold them up.  The whole taxi-driver set-up stinks in vegas, there is no such thing as an owner driver and they can get sacked for not bringing in enough, so the pressure to longhaul is always there.
