I think you've misjudged Mr Gambis.
Splendid well-adjusted sociable type who is prone to make off the cuff attempts.at humour in press conferences about very dull workaday stuff.

You're obviously right about the pulchritudinous Ms Coren's skills though.

Ahh, I did wonder if he was perhaps attempting humour. I assumed he was American, & you never can tell with their humour.

pulchritudinous

Ooohhhhhh

Probs mix in the wrong company but you mention their pulchritude to most women I know and you'd get a smack in the head.

Its gotta be the word that most misleads as to its meaning

On the subject of adjusting to the change in time-zones, I'm of the opinion that it takes roughly one day per hour.

So with the eight hours difference between LV and blighty you should be in cruise-control.

I'm looking forward to some serious binkage now that the jet-lag excuse is out of the way.

Just seen the best blonde wordage of the day, Claire wins the award.

" fuss kicking uppage".

I just need to find a way to weave that seamlessly into tomorrow's blog.

Inventive use of " destroying" there Alex. Plodding more like, but still here, and we are down to less than 80 players.

Still in, though playing with rather more flair one can safely assume are Mr J Keys, Mr P Jackson, Mr S Jelenik, Mr J Conroy, and a pneumatic young lady with pleasing upper extensions which appear to be largely silicone- based.

Oh, and a gentleman who works for Pokerstars, no less.

Did you mistake him for an annex?

Had the pleasure of CraigBetts (betteridge) on my table at DTD tonight and he was curious to know who Jeeves was. I said I'd rather not know as it would ruin the whole thing for me but pointed him in senior junior direction.

Had great fun for £100 and Richard managed 2nd for a welcome £4k+ score (Richard is the mardy one who you out drew). Another mate also beat Rob heads up for the second time (no mean feat as I think Rob was P51 W44 L7 so mate accounts for 25% of Robs loses).  Rob was bossing the game probably winning 90% of the hands but my mate jammed on the turn with 7 outs and got there to get back in the game then managed to beat robs pair in a race. My mate asked if I could sit and look at his cards and Rob agreed. Rob was amazing at putting my mate on exact hands on the river and made either the correct call or fold time and time again. At least 3 times he named the exact hand and was always in right ball park. I won't give anymore away but really hope my Rob blogs about game.

I found out who Jeeves was and I now wish I never knew! It was worse than the time my mum was drunk and stood on my leg holding a stocking making me realise Father Christmas wasn't real!

Still waiting for Rob to blog about his HU vs me..

EVERYONE is curious about Jeeves identity, most people now know, but that's the whole point, revealing it would ruin the whole thing. Of course, not everyone "gets" that.

I'm not sure what when or who you mean by that enboldened part Jason - was it addressed to me? I must have encountered thousands of "mardy ones" & outdrawn tens of thousands of oppos in my time......I only hope I was gracious towards him in my comments afterwards.
