What's the reason for Sky moving from channel 865 to 861? It seems like nothing has been put in the old 865 slot, so I cant see why they would do it. You must have a great telly reason for this that most likely will wow us mere mortals.
861 is the first slot on the Gaming & Dating electronic programme guide, so this move stops a competitor coming in and swiping traffic.
I can't recall, but assume 861 was owned by some interactive gaming channel who were no longer using it and got fed up of paying the fees to retain.
All standard.
After a little research.....
"From Thursday 31st March Gala TV will no longer broadcast on Sky Channel 861. In order to continue to offer the best online bingo experience, we’ve decided to focus our attention on further enhancing Gala TV on galabingo.com."
Clearly didn't work and I'm not surprised as it was one of the worst produced gaming channels on tv, surprisingly.
Cheers Des, consider me told.

Yeah, Karabiner is a bit old, but great company when not in one of his grumpy moods.

a few more that we on here wouldn't know very well?
The actual Team is 10 handed, & is below, 5 are Viva Las Vegas Qualifiers, one is the Site Pro, & 4 are Team Sky Poker guys who ran up huge "Live Poker" balances which they earned as part of TSP, so they used it for Vegas.
Thewy (Pro). Close to the money in Day Two of the current WSOP $1k - would be his first EVER WSOP Cash!
James Foley (VLV). Arrives tonight, am off to the Airport to meet him shortly, he got in for about a fiver I think. Never played Live Poker before, iirc.
Marc Wright (railtard). VLV.
Sam "Sam1986" Bayliss (TSP)
Wayne "gliterbabe" Rideout (TSP)
Neil "JAKALLY" Giblin, (VLV)
Matt Bates (VLV). Chopped the Rio 10pm last night.
Tommy "TommyD" Dyer. (VLV)
Kevin "Lost my Suitcase" Finan. (VLV)
Ryan "Scotty77" Spittles, (TSP). Had 2 nice binks this trip already. Proper analyst, him.
"BigD" (Dylan) is NOT a qualifier, & is not presently booked to play the ME.
He is Neil's +1. We (Thewy, Jakally, me) are trying to get him qualified for the ME by buying bits of him in Mega Sats, but no luck so far. He's a smashing lad (as you know), & a good friend, he's been very supportive of me recently during some difficult times, & so it would make my trip if we could get him in the ME.
We don't have any players on Day 1a, all 10 are booked for 1B & 1C.
Met a bunch of the DTD Qualifiers this morning, all warming up nicely.
The first break of today's $1,000 WSOP Day Two just ended, Thewy, Alex & Mr Bedi are all still in, & in decent shape. Fingers crossed.

Yup, very strong Team, & a good mix. More importantly, they are all having a great time, which is the whole idea.
I am booked to come home on Sunday Week, so, given the need to give a bit of notice for changing flights & hotel rooms, if any of them go beyond day 4, I'll need to extend my stay. Sort of bittersweet really, I'm looking forward to coming home & resuming "normality", but I'd be thrilled if we get a player or two to run deep this year.
We shall see.
