All four of these photos were taken in the same country.

Apparently this is the only statue in the world of all of the Fab Four.

I have come across these from the international silent chess championships, of which I had not heard.

Would even his hardiest critics agree he remains relevant to today's game? It is nice to watch someone put their views across eloquently and, whether you agree with the content or not, intelligently.

I swing back and forth on the issue of whether this is a gambling game so the "characters" are to be embraced or whether it is a skill game and it is more relevant to hear Jungleman kill a hand by a thousand cuts from his  monotonous, droning needle.

Of course the answer is a little of each but the angle shots, the grimming and the thefts that have dogged the game since its conception seem more exposed now than ever and it is being dragged, kicking and screaming to the rest of society.

Does Negreanu serve as a legitimate social commentator? He speaks well enough to me to warrant being heard but as you've implied dave, it is a somewhat divisive issue.

Hi Tikay being as though Red has made such an effort with his diary of late I thought I'd yours with some concrete wizardry.

The Brazillian architect Oscar Niemeyer has died and I've been having a look at some of his work. Not everyones cup of tea but I think the majority were stunning.

Wowzer, thanks Bob, more of the same please.

I keep meaning to try & get my Diary head back on, I LOVE writing stuff, but time always seems to beat me, & I get embarrassed when folks put stuff up & I don't have time to reply. But the days just whizz by, & there are never enough hours in the day.......

This week is typical.....

Did a bunch of work on some new "hand graphics" yesterday, & some screen test stuff in the Studio.

This morning, I've penned an article which will go up on SkySports.com later today. Nowt special, (it's about Thewy) but it has to be "on message", contain keywords, include photos & stuff, & be within a specific word count, all to meet the whims of that magical thing called SEO. Oh, & no speeling errors or tpyos. Wink

I replied to around 12 PM's first thing this morning, & made some Posts next door, just answering regular stuff.

Next, I will be uploading a St Kitts Blog next door, written by one of the players. Sounds easy, a C & P job, but it is never that simple, it needs all sorts of tweakage & conversion to ensure Compliance are happy. Compliance is the great God of an Online Poker Site, if folks did but know.

Then I'm off to bed @ lunchtime, so I can (try to be) fresh for tonight's Show on Ch 861. Allow an hour for make-up, wardrobe & technical rehearsal, followed by FIVE hours live blathering, including 2 hours on Sky Sports, so we need to be fresh, sharp & zingy, because that audience can be over 100,000 in total over the simulcast period. People do not watch non-stop of course, but pop in & out, so at all times there is a need to be sharp & mentally alert. The Sky Sports simulcast is incredibly important to the Business, because it gives us reach & access to new players, & that is part of the reason why the business continues to be so successful in a falling Online Poker market. It'll be 1am before I get back home, & I'll be full of adrenelin buzz, so won't be able to sleep for several hours.  My Presenter tonight? Miss Anna Fowler. She is an absolute delight to work with, such a lovely kid I can't begin to tell you.

Tomorrow? A meet with Rob Yong at DTD in Nottingham at 1pm, then straight down to G-Luton for the start of the SPT weekend. The Friday nights at these SPT's are purely social, but they are a key part of the package. I'm actually hoping that Jim McShane might get a DC game going early, as I've not managed to play DC @ Luton since I returned from Vegas - in July! I've played a few DC sessions at DTD though, & I just love it to bits. Especially as I have run good. Wink

Got some lovely stories from that DC game actually, but never seem to find time to write them.

Friday night will end at around 2 or 3am, & then I need to be back at G-Luton for the SPT on Saturday morning, that'll be 10am until 2am stood on my feet, (ditto Tighty) mostly commentating on the Live Stream & making sure everyone is having a good time. I'll be dead on my feet when that ends, so Sunday will be recovery day, & I won't leave the sofa all day!

Monday it all starts again.....

Then there is the Tips thread. Wow, we have had some fun there, but it don't 'arf take some time. We all try very hard to make it fun, & I do Daily Reports with loads of photos & stories, but it just eats time. Worth it though, there is never a word of aggro or bad blood, & we've all learned a great deal, had a bunch of fun, & even made a few bob. Who'd have thunk? We bet on THE most eclectic range of things, too, everything from football, NFL, to Chess, Cycling, Booker Prize Winners, what sort of microphone Madonna wears at the Superbowl (!), all sorts. I try to avoid the Reality TV show trash though, ugh.

Some days I just want to retire, & take a break, I'm incredibly fatigued a lot of the time. Maybe soon I will, I dunno. Old Father Time is deffo on my case, & I don't always feel so good these days.

Anyway, there's my pathetic excuses for not replying to some of the Posts on here recently, I do feel bad, & I'll try & do better.

I must say, I so wanted Tom to re-open his Diary & he & I discussed it several times, but Tom is his own man, & when the wrirting does not flow easily, there is no point doing it.  Now he is back up & running, & I freely admit, it has given me the taste & buzz to get mine back up to speed. If only I could write one tenth as well as he does, his flows so beautifully.

I had a GREAT Diary piece (or I thought it was....) to write on Monday, & I promised myself I would. It is now Thursday......

Jeez, time just whizzes past when you are having fun.

I shall spend 5 hours on the sofa with this young lady tonight.

Who says I don't run good?
