Nah I just look older than I am...

They enjoyed a lot, one is a celtic fan, the other is now almost converted from no team in particular. How could anyone not love celtic?,

The World is my Oyster

I got a bit off the beaten track last night - forgot to take my tablets - but today, we are back up to full speed, with the usual eclectic range of fascinating stuff you'd expect from a superior Diary, one that shows Vague diaries the road ahead. As I shall prove when I feel so disposed, or am suitably prodded.

So, what about this incred thing?

Mr T.

I have been doing some thinking. In a thread a while ago you wrote of being undiagnosed when you were little and ended up in special classes for something or other, my memory is failing me to be more precise. In another thread you wrote of the dislike of cf's use of colours, which I also disliked as I am colour blind. So, is it possible that you never got tested for colour blindness?

Here is the link to test yourself.

google's homepage champions Mr Leonhard Euler today.

Jeez, how come so often I have never heard of these extraordinary people?

It is beyond belief what this man did, & the circumstances, including the loss of his sight, which never slowed him down one iota. He went blind, & STILL got on with life as if nothing had happened. I suppose the exaggarated sense of entitlement we have nowadays is a modern thing.

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonhard_Euler

It seems he introduced the "Seven Bridges" theory, which I had seen before. If only I understood it......

The problem is to decide whether it is possible to follow a path that crosses each bridge exactly once and returns to the starting point. It is not possible - there is no Eularian Circuit

It'd be rather cool to have a proper theory jobbie named after you.

It MUST apply to a few blondes, surely?

The Red-Dog Theory for waffling, blathering & eating

The Goulder Theory for.....

The Plenners Theory for.....

The Chili Theory is easy. ALWAYS says she is gonna ring, never does. (Bite, girl, bite......)

Euler chat ITT?!

Very pleased with discussions on Konigsberg's bridge system in mathematical contexts. Keep it coming! Probably one of the most important people in scientific history.

He is the man after whom the number e is named. He proved some of Fermat and Newton's theorems and a ridiculously large Mersenne prime.

Not to mention the physics and astrophysics.

Don't understand as much as 1% of it, but boy is it sexy.

Morning hector, & thank you.

No, I went to a Special School for unrelated reasons. I like to think I was special, but I doubt that bluff will get through.

I shared the Coach which took us to school with all sorts of souls who were dreadfully afflicted. Polio & thalidomide victims (a lot of both were around at the time), Downs Syndrome kids - they were known as mongols or mongs then - & children with chronic learning difficulties, or "backward" as we used to be known. Hence I'm a bit prickly at modern terminoligy often used by poker players who have never experienced such dreadful situations in real-life. Sorry, I can't help being ranty about that subject.

Anyway, rant duly off my chest, I am not colour-blind, no.

I get a little exercised when people repeatedly use different colour fonts, because they are not really understanding that the blonde Forum has various Themes.

A "Theme" is a pre-set style & background which blonde Members can change if they wish. There are 3 or 4 of them, the key point being that use use different colour backgrounds.

So when we use pink fonts, green fonts, whatever, it means that a goodly number of folks cannot read, or easily read, the Post. Which makes no sense to me.

My theme - the theme I use, & which is most popular - uses a white background, so, for example, I cannot read Posts which use a pink, or especially light-hued font.

Strange how such trivialities exercise my tiny mind......

Thewy is colour-blind though, as are many.

He once busted the WSOP main Event due to not being differentiate between a 500 or a 5,000 chip colour. Or at least, that is his story. I reckon he was angle-shooting......

How are things down in Plymouth & the its environs these days?

Yikes, more stuff I never knew.

The thing is, it must have been SO much more difficult to test these theories & stuff back then, before calculators & computers. And yet they did.

So now, thanks to google, I have learned of the existence of one of the greatest men ever to have lived.

Next visit to a bookshop, Mr Euler is top of my list. Right above Clarkson.

Clarkson writes the greatest Toilet Books ever, you know? Short articles, quite interesting, but do not stand re-visiting, so you can use them as toilet-paper.

Talking of Clarkson, here is a (blurry) photo someome took, almost as if to prove that even Superstsars have to go to the Toilet. Who'd have thought? Love to know what HE reads in the gentlemans closet.

This is interesting. I was once the first to use a particular arguement in the field of "dilapidations" (what happens at the end of a lease). It never went to court, but the arguement was a success (£500,000 success for my client). Sadly, due to the lack of court action it will never be " Johnsons Principal". Infact  I often feel slightly annoyed when people use my own arguement against me!!!! It is now a widely applied tool of negotiation for anyone in the know.
