Banjo strings was a new one on me, too.

You boys must keep shocking company.

You must be getting forgetful TK

Try Googling "Snapped banjo"

I've lead such a sheltered life...

Oh my goodness! Me too!

This is all getting rather too coarse for my taste, but I had not realised there was a connection. Or not, as the case may be.

Meanwhile, in 50 years of work, I doubt I have ever once been bored, but this TD/overseeing/managing palaver I am doing this week is proving rather testing. I want to DO things.

Evening.

Concrete man here. I have emerged from the dark recesses of TFT, to fess up.

I am getting married on Thursday, so my tale shall have to wait until next week. And to be honest, I'm sure its only of interest to the thread owner.

Some things just stick in your mind. And funnily enough 'banjo string' doesn't feature in too many threads.

It was for both Tk, but my job there is done and I am taking a few weeks off, willingly, to just chill and watch the world go by before picking up the baton and rejoining the rat race.

Is Loughborough the only word that has ough in it twice, but pronounced differently each time?  Probably, lots of others.

I may have mentioned this before,  but I was once asked by an American couple abroad for directions to a place they called "Looga barooga".

Thanks horsey, looks a bargain.

One irresolvable problem with these electric book thingies is that I have, and like to re-visit, a lot of antiquarian books, and these would not be available on Amazon or the like. They smell nice, too. Old books have such a lovely aroma.

Having said that, I used to be hugely opposed to I-pads, now I cannot live without one.

I'd avoid anything that isn't a Kindle, otherwise you are going to be needing this too soon.

I reckon for electronic books it's pretty much game over, Amazon have won.
