Great pics Tikay - those pictures are utterly captivating and really draw you into them.

Suit yourself. I forget which ones we've done...sorry!
A novel by a Scottish writer.
Which novel by which Scottish writer?
What is the first number when written in words to have the letters in alphabetical order?
Will do some proper ones when I'm back home tonight.
40?

You're.... A winner!
The Scottish one is probably my favourite ever teaser. It appeared on Fifteen to One, thereby giving the poor contestant just three seconds to work it out. Funnily enough, the buzzer beat them to it, but I rushed to get as pen and paper to write it down when William G Stewart gave the answer.
An amazing coincidence.

The scottish one seems ridiculously fiendish for a 15-1 question. I've spent the last 20 mins of my break staring at it and totally stumped. Not quite ready to give up yet though

Meh - really thought i'd got it with robert louis stevenson, then dfell a few hurdles from home. Ended up looking it up an wouldn't have got there.
Now knowing the answer I guess it's a fair enough quiz question as to have heard and rememnered the answer is a snippet of general knowledge I suppose. Like that virginia bottomley thing

I'm sure most will think "wtf"?, but these things play on my mind.
The BBC - Lord Reith's very own - were reporting on a matter connected to Warwickshire Police this morning, it was on Radio 4.
The announcer peep person said this....
".....Warwickshire Police
has
issued a statement......"
"
have
", surely?

Enough is being said elsewhere about Stuart Hall & today's news.
Seperate from all that, when he left court today, the Media - quite obviously & naturally - were all in a frenzy for a quote.
For context (discuss the merits elsewhere please), he had some terribly dark secrets for 50 years or more, managed to hide it all that time, led a wonderful life as a TV & Radio Presenter, got an OBE, the lot.
And then his world fell apart, as it all came out on top. His disgrace is complete & all that. Talk about
life will never be the same.
Try to imagine his mindset as he left Court this morning. Wow, just wow.
And amongst the Media throng, a female reporter thrust a microphone in his face & asked the burning question......
Mr Hall, how are you feeling today?
Cutting-edge, probing stuff that.
I bet Paxman would have done a bit better.

Hmm. All you need is an air-ticket, the rest is easy.
Don't even know if I'm going, but everything is well & truly crossed.
Not entirely in my hands, but I'll be able to make a decision in the nerxt few days, I hope.
I really really want to go.
