I was very kindly once given a book called
Decoded
by Jay-Z.
He's one of my favourite musicians and the book is him explaining/deciphering/
decoding
the lyrics of his songs.
As urban as I incontrovertibly am, it did clear up one or two grey areas like a hip hop
Just For Men
.
First to admit I'm odd. I'd argue
prime
.

Thought you'd enjoy that my copy currently sits between two other hardbacks:

So now you've finished your diet, I wonder if you would mind talking us through your
modus operandi
?
I know that basically you just limit your calorie intake, but what are the actual mechanics?
Do you calorie count?
Do you eat the same thing at the same time every day?
How many meals per day?
What about drinks?
What do you do when you're not at home and your regular food isn't available?
Easy one that.
Do you calorie count?
Yes, religiously & OCD-aly. 1,100 max per day. I know the precise calorie count of every morsel I consume.
Do you eat the same thing at the same time every day?
Yes. EXACTLY the same things EVERY day at EXACTLY the same time. Fortunately, I don't have a cultured palate, & any plain food is fine by me. I could eat the same meal every day of my life & not get bored. I built my day around those meals. The post-meal bowl of fresh fruit is the highlight, it is THE biggest bowl of fruit you ever saw. I layer it, from the bottom, fresh pineapple, then red grapes, then white grapes, then a sliced banana, preceded by a low fat yogy. Ooohhhhh.
How many meals per day?
One.
7pm on the dot - EXACTLY - for the main course, the fruit is at 8pm EXACT. Both take approx 11 minutes to consume.
What about drinks?
My weakness. I began by consuming 3 or 4 lattes per day, but eventually got that down to one per day. I had a lot of headaches at first (dehydration) so I started drinking lots of water.
W
hat do you do when you're not at home and your regular food isn't available?
Don't eat. Typically, if at a poker tourney for next door, it will be an all day job, but almost all casino food is poor quality. So I just go without. Peeps say "thats not healthy" but half the world manage fine without a meal some days.
I've finished now, & am eating all sorts of stuff. And you know what? It's an anti-climax, & I really miss the feel-good & taste-good factor of dieting.
The best thing about dieting is how much better food tastes.
I lost 2 stone in 3 months, & it'll take me 9 months to get those 2 stones back on, then I'll start the whole thing again.
Daft 'innit?
How about a photo of your 1100 calorie meal?
I won't photoshop it this time.

Jeez, what a day today!
Can't begin to explain it all now, I'm so tired. If I feel brave enough tomorrow, I'll detail today, start to finish, some eye-popping stuff went down, & I encountered some very bright folks, & some others with a penchant for getting stuff right round their bloody neck. You would not believe in a million years.....
Talk about variety, plenty good, plenty bad, & plenty in between. Eso Kral should have a bet on me.

Been playing PLO8 since 3pm, non-stop, just little baby Tourneys & DYM's, to try & promote the game next door. Immensely enjoyable.
Tomorrow I am doing another session of Omaha cash, just low buy-in stuff, from 5p-10p up to 25p-50p.
Send more money now please.

Good to see Frankie back on blonde. He can be a PITA, cant we all?, but his heart is in the right place, & he's a proper character. I had written to him countless times to coax him back, but he was a stubborn bugger.
Job done.
