Walked into the Media Centre at 6am, & Dan the Producer was there, waiting, & we hit the ground running, & filmed a small fun piece straight away.
Looked at the Edit, the camera makes it appear as if I have put weight on.
It's not aimed at the "blonde" market, more the poker curious, or those who have always wanted to go to Vegas poker & never been able, just "this is the WSOP & Vegas" sorta stuff.
The Rio is much busier than usual this morning, as the Main Event Mega sats have started.
By the way, if you need to know how much water to put in the kettle when making a pot of tea, Tom's Diary has 17 pages of it this morning. Awesome.

Never mind the spam.
Tell us how many hot-dogs you managed in the eating contest.

Bumped into Channing, (currently 7.3 on the Grumpy Scale) exiting the Registration Room, he had his ticket for the Mega-Sat, so we wander down the corridor together, discussing weighty matters such as the world economic situation & whether the water should be boiling when making a pot of tea.
He suggests I ought to play one, the standard is somewhat low, lots of Farmers, Cowboys, & Auntie Ruth's.
We enter the room & espy his Table, #108, & BOOM, Channing spots a cowboy hat on Table 108.
There we go, told you, I got a cowboy, sorted
.
Channing is Seat 8, but someone is already in that seat. The Cowboy.....
Floor is summoned. Cowboy is sat at the wrong Table, & is asked to remove himself. "Sorry, thought we could sit anywhere we wanted".
Channing takes his seat amongst 8 Dwan lookalikes, headphones & hoodies galore.....
PS - Hope he gets the seat.

Did it rain? Been waiting for the pics
Nope, false alarm.
Never known it so hot here. Some sort of minor USA "Bank Holiday" tomorrow, too, so everyone will be on holiday & enjoying the weather.
Don't miss the July 4th highlight that is the hot dog eating championship Tony. Usually live on ESPN, the over/under for dogs eaten by the winner (almost certainly Joey Chestnut) is currently about 63.5.
Will either make you hungry or put you off eating for the rest of the day tho.
Loving the diary btw, gl in the big one.
Joey won, in a canter.
Edifying stuff.
His Mom & Pa are very proud.

Yesterday's man.
You need to keep up to date with these things Simon. Do pay attention.
Firstly, you want MLE. (Major League Eating).
Then you want IFOCE. (International Federation of Competitive Eating).
Look, it's all here, the Eating Database (sort of Hot Dog HerbieMob), Tournaments, record holders, who puked most, & of course, the address of the MLE Fan Club, (Somalia Region).
