"Concrete" Tony, your sensible thoughts are required!

Do you believe animal fat would leave enough "slippery" residue on a road surface that it would require resurfacing? Seems unbelievable to me. I know the fire service use something call "slicks" to clear up oil spills. There must be a product out there to remove the slippery element of any residue left?

I am going to contest the claim, any thoughts on good arguments? (they had applied sand fwiw)

Or

THere's a rather large meat factory near me - I can ask guys that work there what they use if you'd like.

Quick attempt/temporary cover - cover it with wood ashes. THey'll stick to it & if damp can even start saponification - so could clear some of it up.

Question sent - might not get reply today though. Hot water and wood ashes will make a dent in it though.

hot water and ash releases lye.
Lye combines with fat & warm water to make lye soap.
Lye soap emulisfies more fat.

Was unsure whether to post this here or on that other diary, but the fact that there are Aeroplanes pictured swung it your way.

Sitting and relaxing on a beach is probably not your cup of tea but i thought you might appreciate the beauty of some of these.

Reasons why I love poker #2,389

Am playing a £50 comp in a local casino. 15k starting stack. Blinds 25/50 level one. A friend in the same comp on a different table texts me:

"Someone opens to 250. Lady makes it 750. Lady beside her moves in for 15k. Everyone folds including the 3 bet lady with kings. Gets shown aces. Giggles all round"

THey use an alkaline foaming detergent Excel made by Holchem.

Data Sheet here: http://www.murphyandson.co.uk/datasheets/Data-Sheets2/Excel%20-%20ver3_0.pdf

Unfortunately I've not found it available online. But Alkaline foaming detergent is a good direction to start checking.....

I might have been suspicious of a couple of knees being involved there around your way back in the good old days Tal, especially at the old Rainbow card-room.

Yes, I've heard some stories about that place.

Would love to hear more Smiley

Thanks Boo, some magnificent sites & sights there.

I've been to that "green" sand beach in Hawaii, in real life is is not really as green as it looks in the photograph, or not as my memory recalls it.

The French one, with the cattle on the beach, reminded me of The Gambia, where cattle are always on the beach. It just seems, for some reason, incongrous.

That "Ocean Dome" in Japan looks like hell on earth. No thank you.

My favourite was that sort of cove, in Spain, Playa de Gulpiyuri, which does look inviting.

Beach holidays used to be my thing, but I'd not ever go on one these days. Life moves on & all that.

I'm at the dither stage of returning to that Loch-side Cottage in Ratagan, near the Isle of Skye, for a week in October, where I stayed 18 months ago for Christmas. That was my best holiday ever ever ever, the scenery & tranquility up there is unbelievable.

Hope Family Boo are all well, & in good heart. Sorry to hear about Liverpool FC's continued demise.

PS - You chose the right Diary. Undoubtedly.
