Ha!

Tal is the winner.

What an incredible place, breathtaking.

I would never have guessed it's purpose if I had 100 attempts.

Is that the place in (or just outside) Egham?

Lived near it for the first 35 years of my life without knowing it's name.

Is the cannon outside a clue?

Not the royal armouries or something similar? Maybe a HQ for a military outfit. Gunners?

It's more famous for being another building. Cannon is not a clue.

Apologies to tikay, who I know hates Vic and Bob, but I had to find an abstract reference at short notice.

 Royal Holloway college?

Sorry...just realised that was a picture of Ian Holloway...bit slow.

My mum used to be a secretary at Holloway Sanitorium which was designed by the same guy. That building was left to rot for years after Thatcher decided the community could look after all the patients and I think it ended up being turned into a very posh, sort of gated community.
