That feels very much like the final scene in the  all time classic film The Wicker Man with Edward Woodwood Tal.

That was quite a film.

As an insight into my mind (don't visit for long, don't touch anything and for the love of God, don't go downstairs), your reference reminded me of the Joe Pasquale joke of why Edward Woodood has four Ds in his name (because otherwise he would be called "EEWAHRWOOWAHR")

This, in turn, sent me here, to a joke about that comedian...

Could have just posted an epic Iron Maiden song on reflection...

The way the mind works, Part 93

I awoke this morning to see on blonde that Dubai won the $10k WCOOP PLO last night. Great news. "Hero".

I have some action in a package that Dubai sold for a specific basket of FTOPS & WCOOP Tourneys. Even better news.

Checked the thread to see how much I had. 2.5%. Very nice. Fantastic news

Then realised that the $10k PLO was NOT in the package. He's a tosser.

PS - Well done Mr Dubai. 100% pleased & delighted. Well, 97.5%.

$215 PLO surely. Talking of non holdem games are you tempted to go to Vegas November for the Venetian DSE? Plenty of none holdem events on the schedule. Im dithering so far Smiley

Dithering here, too, but unlikely, I would think.

Its just a bit too much money really, the flight & hotel are the best part of £1,500, plus the Buy-Ins.

BA currently have a sale. as do Virgin.

However, for the cheapskates nits among us, I have managed to find something different. AA (American Airlines, not the car people) fly direct from Heathrow to Los Angeles. They've just stuck one of their newest planes on that route if you fly the 12 noon departure - a Boeing 777-300. I'll let tikay go into more detail on the plane.

The reason I am suggesting this is twofold. One - it is cheaper to connect via LA than fly direct and very simple to book. Two - this particular flight is the only transatlantic flight that has plug sockets for your laptop and wi-fi whilst travelling. Anybody should be able to survive a flight to the West Coast with these amenities.

Currently, on the AA website, that flight flying for a week from 13/11/13 to 20/11/13 costs £568.65. To fly direct, with BA, in the sale, costs £660.45.

Deffo tempted though.

I want to go back to the Scottish Highlands really, I'd do Scotland in a heartbeat if it were a choice between the two. I went 2 years ago, best holiday I had, ever ever ever. It is achingly beautiful up there. And NO INTERNET.......

Every day I look at the Cottages for Rent, & so nearly press the "BOOK" Button. Don't really know why I dont.

Bring yer clubs Ill give you a wupping and your thermals its heading for winter as we speak up in these here high parts  Grin

There is the one about the Mexican wife murderer, too. Joke, that is. Not a festival.

Nervous about the big game, Bobby?

It's got a great reputation actually - still a small enough festival to avoid the worst parts of T in the Park or Glastonbury.

Wow, thanks Rod.

I was never interested in History, at school or after, so much of that surprised me.

Even those who did take an interest would surely be surprised by Irelend, & I mean Ireland the island.

Watching that from start to finish, I doubt any island has changed "ownership" so many times, it changes constantly from start to finish, & the current division is fairly recent. It'd be a brave man who suggested that constant changing had ended. Time - in this case 1,100 years, or say, just 20 "lifetimes", we get a much better perspective of things.

How do you find these things? Do you surf the internet a lot?
