Long time since I've been to Caesars, but I vaguely remember it being Mesa Grill outside in front, and the sports book on the right. From there I only really remember a bar in the middle of the floor on the right, which you passed on the way up to the food court.

Presume they've got nothing planned once they have moved, and are leaving tournaments alone for this WSOP?

Incoming from Twitter:

Caesars Palace Poker ‏@CLVPoker · 15h
@relax8n We will be located next to the Race and Sports Book on the opposite side from the old room. 2nd or 3rd week of June.

at least they are maintaining the vegas tradition of having the poker room in close proximity to the sportsbook (and restrooms)

Thanks Gav.

That seemed a very fractious table you were on! Never heard so many petty arguments & requests for Rulings.

The geezer with the mountain of chips (over 300,000 at one stage) somehow spewed the lot off in a single level.

The chap you were with when I met you before it started - English lad, big build, can't recall his name - got most of them, & ended up with 180,000 I believe.

Why do the yanks do this with the random 2 day comps, stopping 4 from the money etc, did my nut in last time i was there! Not that i ever made day 2, just the thought of making day 2 did my nut in!

I never even realised it was a 2 day affair, my fault for not reading the details properly, but it was a bit odd to stop Day One 4 off the money.

There was quite a hoohah about it, lots of chuntering, "we want to play down to the money, all agree?" followed by much nodding of wise heads & general agreement.

So the TD chappie - a rather cold & aloof type - agreed, provided every single player agreed.

Every single player DID agree - except one.

He referred to the Structure Sheet & said "the sheet says we stop after Level 12, so I refuse". He had less chips than me!

I may have to write a little story about him actually, he was the Greatest Table Policeman Ever Ever Ever & complained about everything, non-stop, for nigh on 12 hours.

He was around 70 years old, & had the printed structure sheet in front of him. 5 mins before the end of each Level, he'd remind the Dealer, "blinds go up in 5 minutes Dealer, don't forget".

The Dealer would say, "don't worry sir, it's all in hand".

With 1 minute to go to end of Level, that Automated Tourney Software announcey voice thing would say "BEEP BEEP BEEP - THIS IS THE LAST HAND OF THE LEVEL, NEXT HAND BLINDS GO UP"

And Table Policeman would be in like a shot....

"see, told you so".

He was slow-rolling everyone all night, too. At showdown, he never once tabled his cards until the other(s) had. Then he'd pick his cards up, look at them, look at the board, put one card (no good) down on the table, then another (no good), then, still 1 at a time, the two winning cards.

Honestly, these very old people are so bloody miserable (Ralph excepted), I'd have them all shot.

Yes George, 8 hours time difference, play resumes @ 11am Vegas, 7pm UK. It's 0930 Vegas as of now.
