Think I will serve PH, sounds a great game but too late now at those blinds.
Am on the list for $1-$2 Big O cash at The Rio, got to the top of the list twice, and got bumped down by " Diamond Members" twice - apparently they auto go to the top of the list.
Will give it another 20 minutes, until the next time charge (which is usually when players exit) and if no joy then, draw stumps for the day.
You mind find that you get a seat considerably quicker if you slip the floorman $10 when joining the list Tony, it might also be a euphemism for "diamond member".

Ahh, wise words Ralph, never thought of that, thank you.

Table 1 seat 1
Pole position GL sir.
Thanks Ralph sadly wasn't to be got a bit of a stack going then came second lots of times enjoyable tho ,slightly funny episode occurred early on
Guy came to the table - I thought it was james Dempsey ??
Why are my chips in play ?
Dealer said it was a floor ruling as you had bought in the night before
Dealer changeover occurring at the same time
Why are my chips in play ? Asked jd again
Call the floor
The floor man came said as you bought in the previous day they are in play
Blinds get posted he starts dealing forgetting jd has come in the small blind
We all get 2/3 cards
I was the big blind last time says the lady to jd s left
He stops dealing
Somebody says he shouldn't be in the hand till the buttons passed
The dealers gets flustered some have 3 cards some 4 eventually calls a mis deal
Then we all get 2 cards for a while off this dealer till somebody kicks him to get the others out
made quads n got a full double up n was still in when I left
If indeed it was james ??
Enjoyable to watch the hands play out tho I had a pretty steady table all in all
But I was back poolside with the mrs for 5 pm n a Budweiser which I prefer to do these days instead of poker poker poker

$600 PLO8 @ Venetian, starting @ 5pm. Would be great to see you there. Doobs is in, too.
Was lovely to see you yesterday (seriously), though I was absolutely shocked at how much weight you have put on. Will post a photo as soon as time permits. No need to thank me, like.

Haha.
Yeah lovely to see you too.
I will lose it all by the next Vegas trip! Promise!
Gonna get myself on the Annette diet. Wow she must have lost over 100lbs since I last saw her.

Yep. Come to the Venetian. The 1-2-3 was only postponed, and not cancelled. Good to meet you at last.

Good luck today Gramps.
Thanks David.
I'll do a little Update from yesterday shortly, though not much exciting to report......
Am hoping for a good run today, though, & it's a tidy structure, so no excuses. 5pm start (1am UK), so it'll all happen whilst you boys are in bed, Marky excepted.
Just been to see Thewy, in the Milly thing. That boy runs so good. Slowmo just popped in, too.

It's barely believable, how much weight Annette has lost.
We were sat about 3 yards from her, & I said to Cos "look how well she looks, she's lost so much weight", Cos looked & never recognized her originally. Good luck to her.

Stakers Update
Yesterday was the $1,000 WSOP PLO, 5,000 starting chips & a 1 hour clock.
I really struggled to find playable hands all afternoon. I was not playing scared, but just got poo every hand.
The Table was super loose & lairy, & I felt confident I could get a run going if I could find a few hands.
I peaked at 7,000, but it was all downhill after that.
In Level 5 I found the ideal spot - a loose opener, & a peel behind, enabling me to get 80% of my stack in pre with
I got looked up by both the other two, & then the original opener potted the 10-5-3 flop with 2 pair (his danglers), though he had the nut flush draw, too. He missed his flush draw, but the danglers held.
That would have taken me to 14,000+ @ 150-300, with 450 or so left, & from there, I'd be confident of a deep run. (193 survived the day I think). It was not to be so, but I think the play was reasonably standard.
Anyway, bla bla bla, $1,000 down the swanee, & we remain anchored on one cash to date.
Today, @ 5pm, it's $600 PLO8 @ Venetian. I'll be going for a nap shortly, arriving nice & early, & well prepared.
I got a very big stack in this event last year, then did the lot with a flopped set of aces on an all low board. I had the low draw, too, but my man flopped the wheel. It was an easy fold, but for some reason, I could not let go, I just never believed him. Must do better this time around.

2 amazing characters on my table yesterday.
One was a WSOP veteran, been playing it 19 years, with one bracelet back in the day. He was a bit of a lad, to put it mildly, & was discussing his ex-wife with a mutual acquaintance. The other geezer mentioned that she was a big lass, heavy topped, & our man said "well yeah, too right, & I paid for that rack".
So some discussion ensued about her "rack", & the fella says "I paid for them, but charged it as an expense on my tax form, I called it "Amusement Park Costs"".
The other fella was into organising "rooster fighting" in Indiana, which is quite a popular (?) pastime in Indiana, his home State.
This caused some debate. Another chap said "I'm fine with rooster fighting, we eat chickens, but I'd not tolerate dog fighting". The convo got a bit lively.
Rack Man ran up a 20,000 stack early, but dumped them off horribly, in Level 3 amazingly.
Fun table, very enjoyable, but I never really got going. Bugger. (Official).

That's one of the things I'll miss this summer, all the random people you get seated with in the tourneys downtown.
Good luck in the comp, there's no late night railing tonight... Morning Line at 8am
