Cracking room, this. The photo just shows half of it. Bet it holds 400 or more comfortably.

^^^^

Two particular guys there in that photo can be spotted, one a regular blonde, the other a non- blonde but reasonably well known.

BUSTO, 36th place, just shy of $5,000.

Deets to follow after I've had a wee.

What a result, great job tikay, such entertainment reading your updates in the evening.  So well written and humorous even when you have a tournament to concentrate on.

How do you find the support on here helps you during a tournament?  A welcome distraction?  Something to allow you to see what you are doing with better perspective?

Thanks Aaron, will reply later, or soonest, several other questions also await replies, but can't do so whilst playing.

How is your boy these days? Working yet?

Leo is 15 now and as tall as you and only working on giving me a hard time.  In a good way.

Carry on winning those chips.

1st break, 4 levels safely negotiated. With late reg going on for ever, (9 levels) it's dangerous right now, so I am sitting fairly quietly with 17,500.

Blinds now go 150-300/100/200. It varies, depending on Limit or Pot Limit. My head hurts.

The buy in here is $240, of which $25 is reg fee, and $15 is "Staff bonus pool".

20%, whatever way you slice it.

Sadly, I have been moved to a new table. Shame, that was such a convivial bunch of players.

On my new table, to my immediate left, is Miami John Cernuto, who old timers such as Uncle Ralph will remember from back in the day. He won the World Heads Up in Vienna many years ago (12?) and since then has a bunch of WSOP cashes, many of them in WSOP events. Think he may have a WSOP bracelet or two, too.

Very weird hand, that.

Big O.

I have.....   two spades

I flopped both nut draws, and fill up on the end, then my man takes off and we get it in, my nut boat v his under boat. Full 2XUp.

....and before I get chance to count my lovely big stack, I give a chunk back in the oddest of coups.

The flop of J-J-4 suited my A-2-4-J-Q a treat, and I bet out, only to find myself min-raised. What is going off here?

To cut a long story short, he floated me with K-K-X-X, but I got too cute, and decided to reel him in, thinking he had fours full.

Course, he catches his K on the turn, and then it got worse as I hit  my ace on the end for J-J-J-A-A, and I stupidly re-raised his river bet. Luckily, he just flatted me on the end.

21,000 from 15,000 from 30,000......

Enjoying the updates as usual and good luck!

P.S. I did not realise (until I read your post) that there was a political corner on the forum. I really need to have a look around the place and get my bearings. Have done a lot of political study in the last few years so I may get lost in that section of the forum for a bit once I find it.

P.P.S. That event 53 structure sheet is as clear as mud.

This table is well tough, and I have been trying to force the action, and make things happen. Either they are too good for me, or my timing is out.

15,000.

Gonna wait until Late Reg closes before I start dancing again I think, it slows down then.

Always irritates me when I get a big stack early and then give it away.

Another table move, thank goodness.

178 entries so far, $35,600 prize pool.

No current plans for a second bullet if an accident should befall me.

If I'm honest, George, I'm not sure what a "sick grinder" means these days, but if it's a compliment, I'll take it.

I can deffo fold all day if need be.

If I had to guess, I'd say that he was referring to the fact that you are playing a $240 competition the day after a decent score in the WSOP rather than indulging in "hookers and blow".
