Had 12,000 @ 300-500 (not a typo) and the button to my big was hyper aggressive.

He potted it (Big O) and I 3 bet him with......

   two hearts

He called, and we saw this flop.....

  three diamonds

I am semi pot stuck here, we are heads up and I can't slow down, he most likely has a low draw. He dwells then calls, quite reasonably, wrapped round the J-10, turned the king and I was toast.

Just like that, busto.

Can't really regret the play, good spot to double. Or bust.

That's all for today, Big O cash tonight, hopefully rail Jeff for a bit first, and Aria tomorrow morning.

Jeff Duval is down to the last 3.
His location on WSOP.com is listed as "Royal Herbert". That's a bit precise, isn't it?

Cheesy

Having met him yesterday, I'd say the H is silent.

It's definitely an 'Erbert.

Be a nice win. We clearly funked for the wrong Silver Rogue.

Was browsing youtube videos to try and remember the best route from McCarran to the Venetian area for when I arrive and stumbled on this video of a drive along the strip from 1988. Insane how much it has changed, thought it might be of interest for comparison if you are wandering along the strip.

What a popular victory that would be, hope he wins it. He'll be as col as a cucumber, and the money won't phase him one bit.

Just got my seat in the $1-$2-$5 Big O cash game. Bumped into Martin Frey who told me that Simon Trumper was here minutes ago, buying in for something (WSOP PLO tomorrow?) but unforch I missed him.

Saw Keith Johnson, too. He tells me Mitch arrives tomorrow - Big Mitch - and the two of them will be staying at The Rio, "above the shop" so to speak.

Anyway, I digress. Thought I would try and post a hand or two so as to mildly amuse Uncle Ralph during his breakfast, and for Marky The Crash.

Please do, tikay.

I'd post some hands from this Monte Carlo cash game I'm in but it involves three fewer cards per person and only the high plays.

Also, Pleno and the other wizards might read this thread and feel shame for my play.

Gl tony nice result in the wsop
If you get a spare day consider the scenic drive around red rock national park only  12 miles costs $7 entrance fee very good visitors centre too , quite spectacular,  30 min drive out of Vegas via summerlin
we did it today it's incredibly peaceful after the noise of Vegas
Mind you we then went to red rock casino on the way back !!
Only 2 more days left too for us !
I'm not sure if I'm jealous or not of folk who do 3-4-5-6 weeks here it's all a bit in yer face n loud but a great atmosphere

Sat down with my usual $500.

First hand, I have the $5 button straddle, & a chap who looks like he should be called Tilty Tom raised it up to $20.

I call, both blinds do. Standard, everyone always calls the first raise.

My call is "speculative", but it's cash, and I am trying to open up a bit, show a bit of flair, exploit position on missed/checked flops etc.

I have......

Two Clubs Two Diamonds three diamonds

Well I did say it was speculative. Having said that, if an ace flops in these coups, it can be quite lucrative, as we can "push" ( bet) any low board rather than "pull" (call).

$100 in the middle, and we see this flop.......

 two hearts three clubs

MBN.

It's checked to me, and I obv must bet this, as I want to scoop not chop, so I can't give the low drawing hands a free card.

Pot, $100.

Tilty Tom now does something extraordinary. He re-pots it. Eh?

In they all go.

"Once or twice" he says.

Lol.

"Once please".

We table our hands, and I nearly faint. He has A-4-high-high.

WTF?

Anyway, he picks up a (dead) flush draw on the turn, when a Jack appears, but another jack rivers.  Obv, I scoop.

Now he goes apeshit. Not at me, at the dealer, goes off on a right rant, "why do I never win these coups when I have both nut draws on the turn?"

And I sit there, wondering what on earth he was thinking.

God bless Tommy Tilt.

So that was a nice start, though he only had $250.

Very next hand, I hit the flop of dreams, 3 way.

I have   Two Clubs

How about this for a corker?

 three clubs

I'll spare you the gory details, but it all goes in, and it's hello Scoopio again. They both had low draws, but it came high high club club.

Proper run good, that.
