Where do people get sticky buns to have with their morning coffee? Do they all have a bakers next door?

Pity the Early Morning Squeeze Team, with their coffee and extra special sticky buns. Bad start to their day, too. It's good to share the pain.

Beat me to it.

I feel cheated.

Toothache....my month end (so busy as a busy bee)......only had one coffee all morning.....and now I read this fiasco of your last tourney. #tosser.

Nothing you could do by the sounds of it and it played itself. Unlucky, but dust off and focus on the next one.

I find myself this morning sat at a computer screen playing 5 card O8  the first time in years just so I can shout 'scoopio' at the screen.

I've been corrupted by this (excellent) diary.

Quick hello to Sue & Dave from Grimsby, who buy a bit of action every year, & follow the Updates & Diary every day, but don't post.

Look forward to seeing you both next week.

Also, good luck to Rob Price, aka animalpoker, who plays the WSOP PLO/PLO8/Big O thing today. I almost played it, but the O8 is LIMIT, & I suck at limit, not sure it makes sense to play a 3 game format where I'm the value at one of the rotations. Tomorrow's similar, but all Pot Limit $1,100 affair at Venetian suits me better, I think.

PS - How did the Big O Cash Game go last night, Rob?

Good to hear - it's a fascinating game. Hope you do well.

Cheers,  still think u should be playing today.  This should be the softest 08 mtt chunky buy of my trip and you only need a basic grasp of limit when you can play strong and solid in the other 2 disciplines.

As for cash I vaguely remember losing a 2k pot to some randoms with 1860 total going in 3 way into a 120$ pot .  Don't use ev calculators much but prob had >50% equity with qq345 dbl suited on a aq7r flop Sad   Random number 1 ended up winning the pot with 23910j I believe.  Random number 2 had 3 pair and bad low draw.  Think I would have took it better if random number 1 hadn't instantly jumped out of his seat hooting and hollering before doing a quick circuit of the table shaking every players hand in turn.

Only lost 150 that session though so even on the day. Good times all round I'm determined to find a table of miserable quiet people , having way too much fun every table this trip so far.
