Very unlucky, but another good run. Well played.
Actually, I blame that typhoon fellow for putting you off concentrating on your cards and forcing you to take tourist holiday snaps. Jeeves would have kept him behind the ropes FTR.

Not sure about that players reshove with the a223 in that spot. Depends on stacks I guess but looks like the high is gone for him bar the 5 or maybe 2, if he misses he loses, hits he chops, but he could be quartering the player he shoved out the pot and possibly killed any chance of extra profit for himself and you.
Great to pad some chips to the stack early though, nice 1!
Well I was pleased to get heads up until I saw his hand and the other geezers hand. Then I wished he had flatted me.
Seems to me he has not grasped the idea of the game
, he was effectively hoping for half.

Balanced hands Mr Bates, balanced hands. Two from the top, 3 from the bottom, or vice-versa. (We only have 4 cards but the A plays twice so counts as 2 cards in effect).

The very best of luck Tony.
Enjoying your Vegas updates as usual
Thanks Craig.
You still in China? How's it going?
Hi Tony
Yes I am still in China. It has been 4 years now and still enjoying it as much as the first day I arrived .
Thanks again for the updates and Vegas blogging , it really means a lot to the people who can't make it there .
Good luck for the rest of your trip
Good to hear Craig. If I am not mistaken, before China it was India? (Goa?).
Can't be easy to set up life in a new country & make a success of it. GreekStein, Amatay, SkolSuper & a few others did it, but they are rare exceptions. I'd love to set up home in the USA, but what with age, Green Cards etc, I don't think it's really possible at this point in life.
Do you ever hear, or know of, how the old Walsall regulars are getting on these days? Ash Pervaiz, Micky Wernick, (who was unwell, but I heard he is better now?), those two Asian brothers, Dani the poker room Manager, Paul (?) the Casino Manager (portly chap), the old fella, "Pete" who used to be a safebreaker, & was mates with bald Paul, Theo?

As is the case with most of us i love reading this on a morning.
Unlucky this time but plenty more to go.
Thanks bud.
Would have been a better read if I had not busted 5 shy of the money.
Thought I'd got it through, too, everyone folded round to the BB, but he had a monster & I was in pretty rotten shape.
Don't think I did too much wrong, maybe needed to be a bit more aggro. The hands I played were, overall, luck neutral, but I think I ran a bit bad as to quality of starting material.
On we go, 5.05pm start tonight, which is 0105 AM in the UK.

Hi Tony
Yes that's correct it was Goa , India before China. I helped set up the first dedicated poker room there almost 8years to the day .
I felt very proud the other day when Aditya Sushant won Indias first ever WSOP bracelet. I remember when he first started coming into the card room
and had just started learning to play the game.
I also had a short stint in Florida which I enjoyed immensely.
I do pop into Walsall casino when I go back for a vacation to catch up with Pete Bandit , Essy and a few others . I haven't seen the others you mention in a few years unfortunately.
Theo and safe cracker Pete both passed away some time ago now. Both great characters for their own reasons .
I do miss the old Walsall days I had so much fun, sadly a lot has changed on my recent visits

Ugh, sorry to hear about Theo & Pete.
I was particularly fond of Pete the safecracker, what a great story teller he was once you got him talking.

Talking of Walsall blasts from the past, I noted Kenny Broad in the WSOP chip counts today.
Blimey.

If Grant (Longines) happens to pop onto this thread, be interested to know how your recovery is going.
He had a nightmare op, but they got him sorted, and he was recovering, iirc.
I can't check the thread, because our forum has been held ransom by hackers, and the owner is in Vegas with the APAT boys atm.

Several people have enquired as to why I m not playing today's $1,000 WSOP PLO, especially after I had such a good run in the $1,500 WSOP PLO last year.
It's an unfortunate clash with the Venetian Big O, & I just feel Big O represents far better value for my abilities.
I bumped into Jeff Kimber & Flushy, both of whom suggested I could play the 11am PLO AND the 5pm Big O.
Bastards.

In reply to above, yes, hacked.
Not sure exactly what the coup is, but I'm sure all will be revealed when the owner gets home and resolves it.

Pretty good thanks. 4 weeks since the op, walking 2 miles a day, no sticky buns, no fizzy drinks. I'm slightly amazed at how well i feel given the apparent brutality of what the op entailed. Going to be working from home part time from Monday.

Great to hear.
How long before you're allowed to break out the bourbon?
