My Big, raised to 300 UTG and I plan to fold my J-9-5-4 ss until I see that everyone had called, so I gotta call now.
Flop 7-8-10, which is reasonable.
I check, UTG makes it 1,200, rest all fold, I make it 3,000 and he quickly folds.
That showed 'em, statement made, don't mess with the old boy.

I might not be the oldest player at the table.

It sounds to me as though you probably only have one third of the high(pot/no low obv) currently and are deffo getting freerolledx2 as your JT 2-pair is garbage and you don't even have back-door clubs.
I'm in the trivial fold camp and whatever you have invested in the pot is history - it's painful but you sometimes have to abandon your children.

Vietnamese kid two to my right was being a perfect pain, raising every hand and making life awkward from that seat.
He went busto, so life just got much easier, or so I thought.
He re-enters and draws exactly the same seat.
I'm not mad keen on spending all day being run over by him, but will be patient for a bit longer.

And it's kicked off.
There's a raise to 1,000 (200-400), a 3 bet to 3,000, and two callers.....
We have......
POT.
Two callers, ffs.
Flop J-8-8 rainbow.
I'm first to act and move all in.
After an eternity of tanking, dwelling, furrowed brows, re-checking their hands, they eventually all fold.

I see beast-mode has been deployed early-doors which should result in considerable arsehole-rippage.

Re the cash hand,
I am probably sigh folding. yes at the moment you have the nuts, having the " nit " player check raising has me a little worried.
The other player then potting it just increases my furrowed brow.
Having no spades leaves me very vulnerable and even if I hit a ten or Jack I might well be behind to pocket Queens getting a bigger house.
I am no cash player, and I really have no idea on odds, so I would take my profit and return to base.

Unbelievably, one of the 2 lads in the hand now claims he had the 8.
He seems a believable sort, but I don't believe him.

To his credit, he doesn't know you're a rampant maniac.
Yet.

5 limpers at 200-400 to my button and I make it 2,000 with K-K-J-J, no suits.
UTG, a miserable crusty old sort, now check raises me to 7,000.
If he does not have the aces I'll eat my hat.
This is playing lightning fast, so I decide to make the flat call and see if we can hit a nice flop.
9-10-2, with 2 hearts.
This gives me a bit more equity, and it's very close I think, (8 outs twice?) but I eventually check fold.
Am not totally convinced it was a good fold, but pretty sure he had the Aces. If he had hearts it was a good fold.
