You get a clue as to how dated & retro their railway system is from this photo of the Arrivals & Departures board.
No LED displays or those click click click boards that change every few minutes, it's all composed from those white plastic letraset lettering things.
Every time a train is cancelled, delayed or diverted, a little man with a ladder climbs up & changes it all laboriously, letter by letter.

What a fab journey you are having. Those railway stations are something else. Gill spoiled in the process WP Tony.

What a swell party this is!
Well done, tikay (and happy birthday, Gill).
I'm going for 1997 being the year Amazon started. As for the N and the A, maybe A stands for Amazon and N for Nasdaq?

So, 'big' birthday eh? That means if we guess wrong we will be 10 years out.
What a dilemma. I don't know whether to plumpt for 30 or 40.
Not that it matters. He's punching way above his weight anyway, and that has nothing to do with his diet.
Have a wonderful time and give him a kiss from me. (no tongues though).
Your new friend and confidant,
Tom.

No, & the A & N are not significant.
The clue is in the name of the airline.
If a resident thicko - Tom or booder, say - get this before you, it's going to be so embarrassing.

Oh you mean that 1997 is a prime number?
Founded in 94, apparently, ish. Shame, thought I'd got it in one then.

Haven't flown British Airways in many years but last week flew to Verona for £35 and returned out of Marco Polo for £44. Both flights were excellent, service and standards were world class. Beat EasyJet, Ryan Air etc to a pulp.

Am due to play the $1,100 PLO8 over at the Parking Lot today, 1pm (9pm UK) start.
Gill is most unwell today, came down with my cold yesterday which makes me feel bad, & today she is in a bad way with a stonking cold & a migraine for good measure.
So I'll make a late decision on whether to play or not. She is laid up in bed, mostly sleeping, so nothing I can do by staying with her, but even so, not sure I should be out playing poker whilst she is so unwell.
Will make a decision in a bit, & obviously let you know either way before start time.

In case you missed it, I saw this in FCHD's Vegas Updates this morning;
Event 46 - $2500 Mixed Omaha/7 Card Stud (both Hi-Lo 8 or better), Day 1 of 3, 402 entries
Paul Jackson has a decent stack and lies in 32nd, and the only other Brits through are the West Country duo of Ben Dobson and
Robert Price
Rob Price, of course, is AnimalPoker.
Go Animal.

Thx tony .
Gl at V if you do play it, highly unlikely I'll be over.
Hope Gill feels better soon .
Real roller coaster yesterday especially for limit.
1/3 stack in first 2 levels , double average Middle of day , back to life support an hour or 2 later surviving 3/4 allins before finishing around average .
Just looked in mirror and shocked how bloodshot my eyes look considering I was seat 1 all day.
Drawn the dreaded seat 7 today so hoping table breaks early .

First bad beat of the day - that miniature bottle of Perrier water cost me $4.25.
Yikes.
