Unlucky TK, when are you next putting your head in the lions mouth?
That's it now Mr Bob, the lions got the better of me, I feel a bit like Peter Griffin after he had that run in with the puma.

So, a disappointing end to the staking, to go with the disappointing beginning & middle.
I stayed off thread yesterday as I was very much Mr Grumps.
Had really hoped to do a lot better, but it was not to be. Very disappointing really, but it's poker, & I deffo need help from the cards.
In O8 games, especially Big O, &, to a degree, PLO, we are so often flipping.
That A-A-3-5 v identical (effectively red v black), and those three A-K-2-4 v near identical are all flips, no complaints there at all, perfectly standard in O8, nature of the game. I just lost everyone at the crucial stages of games.
A better player would survive some of them, as they run with a bigger stack, but despite trying to be more aggro, I still ended up motoring with a small stack at the sharp end, & so one lost flip & it's all over baby.
I mentioned that on my WSOP table in the final event there was one pro running over the table. His name was Quinn Do, & he won the WSOP $10,000 Dealers Choice a few years back. Seemed a decent chap, & certainly he was the best player on the table by a country mile. (He's still in, sitting 12th of 20). He was opening 75% of all pots, & the rest of the table soon cottoned on. But here's the thing - when it got to showdown, he had it every time. It was amazing really how many good hands he was dealt. He knew how to play them though, that's the thing.
Anyway, I'll do the final reconciliation soonest, there's a little bit of cash to come back, so it's not a complete disaster.

Gill goes home tomorrow, so I'm taking her out for a nice meal tonight, and of course a final visit to Walmart. She loves Walmart.
Took her shopping yesterday, too - Williams Sonoma, Premium Outlet North &, obv, Walmart.
Then I go home on Sunday.
Will try & post some more stuff from the Seattle Trip soonest.

Wish every month was June.
We all know blonde is dying, but it comes to life every June & the numbers shoot up. The post count for June will be 50% higher than May, and over 100% better than February, which sounds great, but it'll be 20% or so down on June last year.
Been some great threads - Stu Rutter, Ommy, plus all the World Cup stuff.
SB&G are buzzing, too - as are all sports betting sites - as the World Cup is huge for them. All of them will be hoping that England stay in for a while yet, as interest drops off a cliff once they exit.
Then there's the Stars takeover. Clearly, I'm looking over my shoulders a bit, as are all the Poker Team, but you never know, there are lots of ways to skin that cat, & those guys are very good at thinking outside the box. We shall see.

Whilst the monetary side of the stake hasn't been a win, being part of the stake has,as always, been exceptional value. Following the posts and getting involved in the banter is worth every penny of my stake and if I get some of it back, even better. Glad you enjoyed playing on our behalf and I hope to be involved again next time.

Thanks Carl.
Despite the results, & the rather curly lippy post I made earlier, I absolutely loved every minute, & I only wish it could continue a little longer.
As you may know, I was on a health kick from 1st Jan to late May, which includes walking for around 2 hours every damn day, come rain, shine, or beast from the East.
Walking can be boring, so the mind wanders & I'd spend those endless hours dreaming of this Vegas trip.
Poker? I determined that I'd squeeze every single card, every hand, one at a time. And I did, every last card I squeezed.
Food? I'd eat anything & everything, lots of it, as long as it was bad. And I did.
And of course, Gill adores our time together in Vegas, so I wanted to do things she'd enjoy. Shopping, meals out together, the Rod Stewart show & the birthday treats, the Boeing Trip, Amtrak, Seattle etc. Did all that.
So it's been a total blast. Sad to be going home of course, but once that day approaches, in a way, I'll be happy to get home.
All good really. Would have been nice to run & play a bit better, but it's been a ball.

Been enjoyable to be part of the team
No use dwelling on what could of been with the poker, time moves on quickly and I've yet to meet anyone who wants to listen to bad beat (I certainly don't)
As long as you have had a great time thats all that matters
Safe journey home

some of the highlights for me were sticky bun-gate and aeroplane factory. Thought the mystery chest cold added intrigue.

You’ll get em next year Tony.
I had a similar Vegas to you. Couldn’t get going but I love the place and just to be there and dream of that score is something special. For me even if you get 0 return (and let’s face it we are pretty much gonna) you provide value for staking with each update and outpouring on this diary.
Safe journey home and see u next year. I’ll be on the O8 trail with you.
