Dead first level, nothing happened at all. Level 2, though, was like a firework party.

We open with.....

Flop:

   Two Diamonds

I bet, fella 3 bets. Not sure whether to flat or 4 bet here. It's very dry, I have nut high and drawing to nut low. I decide to bet, he moves in, and of course I call.

I've got him crushed for three quarters, we have the same low draw and he has a set of sevens. Perfect.

Turn is a safe 6 and I'm counting my three quarters of a 40,000 pot. Until another 7 rivers.

Ugh. 10k from 20k starting. Can't do a thing about that.

Then I flop a lovely combo draw to both ends, bet it, but whiff everything.

6k.

I can feel my sap rising now, 6,000 after less than an hour, so it's shit or bust time.

Then.....

  two hearts

We go three way to the oh so beautiful flop of....

Am against nut hearts and a set, it runs out perfect perfect 5-6 of blueberries and I scoop the lot for a full triple up.

19,000.

Way too much excitement.

Good luck at the O/rleans Tony.

Thanks Ralph.

Bet you have played here a time or two.

I stayed here the first year I came to Vegas, quite liked it. There used to be a shuttle from here to the Rio but I believe they cancelled it a year or two back.

21,000 at first break.

It's playing super fast, as you'd expect in a $400 re-entry, and folks are getting it in light for stacks, then re-entering if it goes wrong.

Probably have to join them if I dip down to sub 12,000 any time soon. No point trying to just make the money in one of these.

Blinds 300-600 when we resume.

185 entries.

It's opened to 2,700 and I call with

  Two Clubs

Heads up.

 two hearts

He makes it 6,000.

Never gonna see a better flop with my hand, so I 3 bet and he quickly calls/sets me in with

More scoop cards than enough, and I don't mind going bust here. It comes a black 9, eek, then a black 7 to complete my low.

Chop chop.

Lovely spot, shame we could not get there with that one.

Thanks Carl.

Had something of a canard rush.

First, shortie playing 6,000 potted it, and I obv set him in with the draw-tastic...

  Two Clubs Two Diamonds

He had A-J-4-5 with hearts. He flopped the jack for the sweat but it blanked out from there.

Then 4 or 5 more hands, can't remember them all but all standard spots, chopped them all.

27,000 with blinds about to go 500-1,000.

27 Bigs is plenty, but not enough. It'll continue to play crazy fast until re-entries close after two more levels. Will certainly take a spot if one arises, one double up and it's game on.

20,000 chips, 30 minute levels, blinds start at 100-100.

Three pros on the table, all to my direct left.

Leif?

Three nice hands and flops takes us to the giddy heights of 47,000 at 600-1,200, but then.....

Holding A-4-5-6 with a nut suit on the 2-3-K flop we get it in three way but somehow miss for a 90,000+ pot when it runs out 9-9, so back to just 17,000.

Not good.

That was the one we needed to be a serious player in this. Never playing it different. Disappointed, but standard stuff and was right to go for it.

Wrong time for that setback, as re-entries close in 15 minutes, and if I bust and re-enter I get just 13 Bigs.

Going for a 2xUp now, but not minded to re-enter to get 13 Bigs.

Tried to find a spot before the break but nothing remotely playable, so just 13,000 with blinds now going 800-1,600.

When the break started Dealer says "anyone want to surrender their stack and re-enter?" and I was briefly tempted but it just makes no sense.

There's an open and I jam with

Caller behind, then after a dwell, opener calls too.

Both have A-K-low-low and it comes A-K-4-5, so we all have at least 2 pairs, but I'm in real bad shape both ends with inferior 2 pair (3 pair actually) and my low counterfeited all ends up.

They chop the high with A-K and opener takes the low after that flop pretty well killed my low outs.

Busto City.

Feel have run a bit bad there, had some great spots but could not convert. That wheel wrap when I had 47,000 was the key hand really.

Probably enjoyed that as much as any I've played this trip so far, and think I played ok.

That's all folks, night all, we go again tomorrow in a nice little Big O at GN.
