Here's my rather curious exit, curious in that I had a very unusual hand indeed to go to war with.
I'm BB & am dealt the very unusual A-A-A-2. (this is High-Low). I can get up to all sorts of mischief here & if the flop comes 2 low cards I can apply max pressure & must be a huge favourite, & the low would be mine for sure assuming it arrives. He's SB & has been busy. Blinds are 300-500-500. He makes up & I bet 1.5k which he quickly calls. We have similar stacks, around 16,000 each.
My hand...

And we see this flop. I'm hoping for two Low cards so I can apply max pressure.

He bets, & now I spring the trap & pot it for 90% of my stack. He thinks for an age & then...repots it. Oh dear. Set? Well we can't fold with this much invested, whatever he has we still have the nut low draw & up to 24 clean outs for the Low.
In it goes & he has hit the exact & almost only flop he can continue with this hand short of flopping a straight or flush....
So he has a wrap & a flush draw but I still have around 21 outs (24 minus 3 I think if we remove his holding) for the Low, assuming he does not have A-2 which would be almost impossible.
Turn

That locks up the High for him.
Now I need that low card badly.

Be interested to hear what the experts think, but at the moment, I don't think it's terrible, just that exact flop did me.
I'm embarrassed to depart so early - very unusual for me as I'm very nitty early doors (this was Level 6 I think). But I have been trying to make a few speculative plays all trip as I'm too tight early doors. This one just went badly wrong.
On we go.
